Not necessarily... liquidity here is virtually non existent. Also the shares are traded in 3 exchanges, and the ASX recently marked their share price up. I should imagine that whatever the outcome will be reflected primarily in the JSE. As you say ....fingers x'd.

I contacted the company recently, but they couldn't speak with me before the quarterly update is released. If history is anything to go by then this should be released on 31st October. They told me to go and read the last quarterly report again and previous update on Makhado. From last Quarterly report: "The managed tender processes to select the outsourced mining, plant and laboratory operators also commenced during the quarter. We are excited to have strong contenders to be our partners and these processes are expected to be completed during Q3 CY2023." This led onto "Commencement of construction in H2 CY2023" with the first coal expected 18 months from commencement of construction. I also note that this quarter Vele should be up to full capacity, producing 60,000/t per month. Hopefully now we begin to see some significant news flow and action. I have a call with the company after they publish the quarterly results, then we have the AGM. Coal prices are higher with the market still short. The Israel-Hamas situation as well as cold weather should keep energy prices firm in Europe. I still believe we are a behemoth, ready to explode.

Imo, it could go either way. Recent trades, have been at lower prices...which is not so good. However, the recent RNS highlighted some significant improvements, albeit they reiterated that the company could face being a non going concern, but management opinion said that this would not happen as it had enough liquidity to cover overheads etc...

I contacted the company recently, but they couldn’t speak with me before the quarterly update is released. If history is anything to go by then this should be released on 31st October. They told me to go and read the last quarterly report again and previous update on Makhado.

From last Quarterly report:

“The managed tender processes to select the outsourced mining, plant and

laboratory operators also commenced during the quarter. We are excited to have strong contenders

to be our partners and these processes are expected to be completed during Q3 CY2023.”

This led onto “Commencement of construction in H2 CY2023” with the first coal expected 18 months from commencement of construction.

Two scenarios to consider....1 good and 1 bad.Either they have obtained financing......or they haven't and are now in possible financial difficulty. The trades today have been marked as sales. However, the value is only circa 7k GBP.

There are roughly 400 Mio MCM shares in total which are issued between 3 exchanges, AIM, JSE and ASX. These shares presumably are not fungible, being denominated in different currencies etc. My question is what %age out of the 400 Mio does each exchange have listed....? I should imagine that JSE has the most being as how 61%+ is owned by SA iis. Also a disproportionate amount on any exchange can create substantial price relative share price differentials.
I'm very happy to be corrected if someone knows better.

Jumped same time as JSE purchase, presumably algorithm linked, clever stuff. Anyways..

On 10 October, the peak power demand reached 221.62 GW, with the peak shortage at 5.36 GW.
NEW DELHI :Coal stocks continued to shrink with power demand across the country hitting a peak of well above the 200 GW mark this week. Thermal power plants across the country have coal stocks to last just 7.5 days, showed data from the Central Electricity Authority (CEA).
