At a near three-year high now. I wonder how much of an overhang the Armstrong holding will be |
Paul Scott on yesterday's ADVT presentation (from 2:55) - further acquisitions on the cards? |
ADVT has been great. Why has it taken so long for the other SPAC's to get going? |
*BARCLAYS RAISES ZEGONA PRICE TARGET TO 800 (600) PENCE - 'OVERWEIGHT' |
I remain incredibly sceptical of Le Chameau valuation, but continued strength in ADVT, ZEG and INAC helps dilute that exposure |
NAV 211.2p |
Impressive update from ADVT...
SP ahead by 10% currently |
NAV 206.8p |
Nav over 204 p ex latest dividend, and before today’s zeg price hike. Cheap way into zeg and advt while collecting a nice dividend. |
I think Premier Miton had a holding of over 1m where they need to sell down as part of the MINI wind down, although not clear by how much.
Does seem that it might finally be getting interesting. |
Yes, ZEG on another gallop this morning, as you say let's hope it doesn't suffer from the GODoY syndrome at any point!
Might be an idea to release a few back into the wild whilst the ducks are quacking so fervently? |
A few decent-sized trades on Thursday and Friday hopefully clearing the seller out.
The relentless upwards march in ZEG is now worth 47p per share to MVI. Just hope its not a Grand old Duke of York! |
bdbd,
Too much like common sense... if you believe Le Chameau is actually worth what its in the books at!
I'm happy to take the return of capital as a way of reducing my exposure. |
With Zeg now over £5, surely the move would be to trim the holding and use that cash to buy back shares for cancellation? At a 50% nav discount you are effectively selling zeg at a fiver and buying it back (for that element of the nav) for £2.50.
They seem determined to keep the divi going, but much better value would be added via a buy back until such a time as the discount narrows. |
XD this morning, pay day 28/2 |
In an ideal world they would sell Le Chameau, but I'm not certain if they could at the present value. They see ADVT and Investacc as core so a sell-down of ZEG appears to be the only route |
Thanks Cousin. Having a senior moment |
Feels like something will have to give soon if the dividend is being maintained - cash is very low now.
The larger shareholders finally seem to have exerted some pressure.
Either realise an asset or take on external debt seem to be the options. History hasn't generally been just to trim quoted positions. |
Did read it as 19.9% of NAV of ordinary shares myself :-/
NAV 201p, share price 100p. Something has to give at some point, either valuations or share price. Hopefully the latter :-) |
ZEG 40% of share price and 20% of NAV, no? |
ZEG now 40% of SP |
ZEG been on fire of late. Up again today( at time of writing!!)

INTERIM DIVIDEND TO ORDINARY SHAREHOLDERS
The Company is pleased to announce that an interim dividend of 2.265p per Ordinary Share will be paid on 28 February 2025, pursuant to the Company's ordinary share distribution policy. |
SAA update this morning sounds decent...
...SP ahead at the open |
Missed it first thing, but it looks like MVI have back-tracked on their decision to axe the dividend:
The Board and the Manager, in line with best practice, continue an active and ongoing dialogue with investors on a range of fund-related matters including the implementation of the ordinary share distribution policy.
"The Board confirms that it expects to maintain the dividend payments to ordinary shareholders in line with the current policy at the same rates as paid since 2021, being 9.06p annually per share, paid in equal quarterly instalments. To the extent that any changes to the ordinary share distribution policy are proposed in the future, such changes would be subject to shareholder ordinary resolution.
It is expected that dividends will be paid in each of February, May, August and November in 2025"
Wonder what they will sell to be able to pay the divi... |
Up 5% in a month is impressive. Interesting that there was a similar rise last December too |
