Hammering up Monday.

Shares in Asos, M&S, Sports Direct, Joules, Boohoo all up on the back of Next saying there wasn't total carnage over Christmas.

Next’s update basically not as bad as feared, no car crash which should lift hopes for others. Online sales apace while stores struggle

So despite all the gloom the first week of Jan has passed without a big profit warning from retailers. Xmas not great but not Armageddon.

QANTAS, many of Oddey's funds are Up nearly 50% over the last 12 months.
Doomed to failure?. Have you returned 50% in the last year??.

The MKS share price was nearly £6 a share in May 2015, now around £2.50.
Sometimes better to stick with facts rather than subjectivity.

This company will have struggled over Xmas, a poor relation to John Lewis, off course the food side of the business may have held up, plus socks and underwear!
