We went to designer outlet mall at York at weekend.
Pre Xmas sales 40 to 50% off.... anyone with a nose for a bargain knew these were real mark downs, not the fake sales to get you in the door. GAP sale 40-50% off and given voucher on floor, if buy 3 get a further 15% off at till... sign of desperation...madness!
Very busy car park but sale prices must be punishing the businesses

Company outlook announcements in Jan/Feb going to be interesting

I think something's afoot with the Justin King appointment . He ran the MKS food division very well.

With a weak pound this could easily be bought from a investor aboard. With 11% shorted any whiff of a bid could see this reverse very quickly. A lot of high street gloom is already in the share price, at some stage this is or will be a great buy.

Mike Asley struggling with House of Fraser, Bonmarche, lose money and shares halve, Superdry warn yesterday, Primark warn and to top it all John Lewis sales have declined 4 of 5 weeks lately.

The High Street in a very bad place made worse by BREXIT. Also warnings housing prices to fall.

Listening to an interview with Justin King on Radio4 this morning and the question of splitting the food and clothing divisions was put to him . He said that he wasn't joining MKS until the new year so couldn't comment on any possibilities that may be viable until he'd had a good look at the current state of the company.

Poor numbers from the high street again today from SPD and BON .

With the share price being so low, I wouldn't be surprised the Chinese are looking to snap up MKS, lets hope they wait until share price is much higher before making an offer.

Shorts may well close to xmas and give this share price a boost. £3 - £3.10 going into next year but then will all depend on the festive results. Don't expect to much but do expect on the + and surprise the market on the upside.
