careful, have you looked on the car park of both LIDL and ALDI ?

You see Audi Mercedes and more other luxury cars even the papers have shown celebrities shopping at both ALDI & LIDL both stores are selling more premium foods and its drawing in middle class savvy shoppers.

In fact the Telegraph claims one in three shoppers at both stores middle to upper class which blows away your claims and robot will be choking on his breakfast reading your post.

More articles on wealthy and middle class shopping at both ALDI & LIDL

MKS well placed for the middle class market.
Never under estimate the power of the UK class system.

Rolex watches, Rolls Royce cars......upper class.
MKS..................................middle class.
LIDL.................................working class.

You would not catch Prince Charles, Kate & William or myself shopping at Lidl.

We all know what group we are in.

MORRINSONS to pay its workers £10 hour which is the highest rate of the large Supermarkets and will put pressure on MARKS.

This will however put pressure on MARKS margins if they have to do the same.

LIDL sales rose a whacking 18% over Christmas and they don't even deliver foods

The discounters like ALDI LIDL and B&M taking market share and with ALDI and LIDL having more and more premium products MARKS will find it difficult. MARKS 2.7% gain isn't good enough imo, as people see their earnings cut they may shift spend to the discounters.

'Highest deaths since world war 2 says ONS'

. . . . .

Not surprised at that at all as the population back then was about half the size it is today.
Did they also quote the 2018 deaths figures and the 5 year lower figures before that,NO.
2018 had a massive death increase due to corona virus, Flu.

Some care homes had over 25% wipe out.

Anyone can manipulated figures to bamboozle the ignorant as is being done today to spread Fear.

Look out for the great reset around the corner. It's a coming.

Debs 'lies damned lies and statistics'

Don't let them bamboozle you.
They are trying to get younger people to obey the rules.
The number of young deaths have risen from zero to almost zero.

There is a generational cycle of wearing jeans and looking casual to formal dressing looking like dandies.
It is a question of not looking how your Dad's generation looked.

Jeremy Clarkson almost killed of the jeans market, seeing old men wearing jeans put youngsters off.
Long haired hippies resulted in Short back and sides.

We are due another smart phase, they will reject the casual geriatric hippy look.

careful,

You are evidently not watching all the covid news the infections are affecting more younger people and more younger people dying.

But more important than that more office workers wont be returning back to the office so wont need all those smart clothes everyday. just a pair of jeans or comfy loungewear.

Most killed off by Covid are old and have underlying health conditions.
Not the sort that buy clothes so almost zero impact on clothes sales.
There are about 600,000 deaths every year even without Covid19.
A small % of the population and clothes are not the priority for your average' last year of life' customer.

Once we are free to roam again, whether working from office or at home, clothing sales will matter again.People will get out and want to look good.

Trying to get my mind around home working.
The idea that you can sit around at home on Zoom and have meetings and do useful work baffles me.
So many non jobs and latent unemployment.

Robert Young12 Jan 2021 1:16AMM&S need to get back to quality product and making them in UK. People are moving away from cheap fast fashion supplied by China. We want quality that lasts.where faster turnaround of styles is needed then short supply chains based in UK will be critical as will the ability to prove not made with slave labour in China or elsewhere. ...
