13/2/2006 08:13 | milesy - went by there yesterday, on my way to the match! Cheers Stormy | onlyonestorm
12/2/2006 23:12 | Sir Terry loves to keep things close to home, with Mitel, March, Newport Networks and the Celtic Manor Resort all within about 15-20 minutes of each other in South Wales. I've no doubt he'll do likewise with March's European office after he's been suitably incentivised by his contacts at the WDA (Welsh Development Agency). Stormy - the financial PR company in which Sir Terry has a hand (as noted recently) is TM Communications based in Cardiff (same arcade as Clive Ranger jewellers). Cymru am byth. >M | milesy
12/2/2006 10:51 | Nice link lordcoco. So, we may have to wait a bit longer for European inroads since they haven't set up their HQ yet, but MNW seems like a core holding for the next 12-24 months. Incidentally, the SCSW advice was written when the share price was £18.90, so a little out of date. May see a MM markdown tomorrow am, with TSX taking it back up in the pm. | sranmal
12/2/2006 10:43 | Only because the share price has risen 270% since they recommended them Cam....it makes sense to lock in a good profit. | mitzis

11/2/2006 20:30 | Another interesting little article: 'To date around 90% of revenues have been generated in North and Latin America,' he said. 'However, we are now starting to make inroads into Europe, Australasia and Asia. 'We forecast that revenue generation from Europe could account for a third for total sales. We are encouraged by the market in which we are operating in.' | lordcoco
09/2/2006 12:52 | Business Post Group (BPG) - the NEXT BID TARGET BID BID BID BID BID!!!! Owns the post office franchise | plantronics
09/2/2006 12:50 | Just a bit of news on latest contract win: | lordcoco
08/2/2006 09:22 | As they fully enter international markets this year, there could be a string of such announcements. However, there are extensive trial periods prior to each contract so may not start getting European contract wins till H2. Exciting times ahead though. | sranmal
08/2/2006 09:18 | I knew they would be a World beater..! Watch this rise now.. | mitzis
08/2/2006 08:05 | The path to global domination begins! | sranmal
08/2/2006 07:58 | Ho hum, another contract: In Australia! And once again: "The decision to select March Networks was made following an extensive evaluation process that involved in-depth reliability and functionality trials of the March Networks solution and that of many competitors." | lordcoco
07/2/2006 16:21 | significant recovery in canada. Thinking of buying at this price does anyone know is it results on march 2nd | umalukka
07/2/2006 10:42 | lasata, if you do a search for March Networks and Vigilos it should come up with something. Not sure of it's significance, but as the co. is spending, I think, $500k a quarter on the case (and another with ewatch, I think), it is not insignificant. Judging by the intonation of who I was speaking to last night I got the feeling that there may be a positive update re the case, but this is pure speculation on my part. | lordcoco
07/2/2006 10:35 | Lord: What is this patent case with Vigilos - any thing significant? | lasata
07/2/2006 10:13 | As this is mainly traded in Canada the spread/price moves are much larger am this 5% drop is on tiny volume. picture will clear when Canada opens | slogsweep
07/2/2006 10:12 | Not worried sranmal as we have had a great run so its due for a bit of profit taking... | mitzis
07/2/2006 10:09 | Assuming TSX doesn't go down this pm, expect this to rebound later on, o/w support is at £16. | sranmal
07/2/2006 10:06 | Just hope 1800p is the next support before the next move upwards.. | mitzis
06/2/2006 23:01 | Cheers. Probably due a breather for the share price | sranmal
06/2/2006 20:07 | Just spoke to the extremely polite and helpful March Networks investor relations team in Ottawa regarding the sudden plunge on the TSX earlier. My emmediate thoughts were that this may be in relation to the patent suit with Vigilos, maybe I'm being a bit twitchy (being an RPT holder). Nothing to report on this front however, but was told we can expect an update regarding this matter on March 2nd. They were not overly concerned by the share price movement and expected volatility after such a strong rise and great last quarter and put todays/recent movement down to possible speculation (I think as sranmal noted) on wether there would be another pre announcement. | lordcoco
04/2/2006 10:55 | Exactly stormy...I believe he may also have an interest in a financial PR company based in Cardiff (not sure where I saw this) who handle some of the UK work for his FTSE listings. Come on the Reds!! >M | milesy
04/2/2006 00:40 | milesy Sir Terry Matthews - Celtic Manor, March Networks, Newport Networks, Mitel etc etc Stormy | onlyonestorm
03/2/2006 23:47 | Interesting case study featured on March's website as well as in the latest newsletter about the security installation at the prestigious Celtic Manor Resort in South Wales. Makes for interesting reading, though anyone unfamiliar with March should be forgiven for not knowing that the Celtic Manor is in fact owned by March's chairman Sir Terry Matthews through his holding vehicle Wesley Clover (you can take the boy out of Wales, but....) Here's the article: >M | milesy |
