The company that makes London taxi cabs has launched an emergency recall of 400 black cabs after discovering a steering fault.

News does not look good. Faulty steering boxes in 400 taxis & production halted in affected model.
Probably lots of layoffs at the factory.

Smells like a possible takeover. Perhaps by Geely, or Sanjiv?
Sanjiv, did not buy a large stake for nothing. He either had news of a bid, or intended a bid himself.
I have a 200k share position.

LOL. Maybe, but the comments left aren't exactly measured, are they? Is it really surprising that exiting directors sold shares several years ago? No directors sales within the past two years would have been a better point to make. As for this Nissan van taxi, have they even officially announced prices and warranty details yet? No they haven't. It's also unclear how they're going to make a front wheel drive van meet the London turning circle requirements. Yes, I have a small amount of MBH shares and I'm interested in both positive and negative thoughts, but it's got to be relevant. It almost sounds like some people want to see it fail and don't care about the people involved. Still think it will rally and rise - certainly hasn't collapsed this week like some people excitedly predicted.......

Have another look at that - in the past two years there have been two purchases, no sales. Most sales before that are ex-directors. Why the scaremongering?

The Nissan NV200 is not much of a challenge for the Mercedes Vito which is overpriced.
The Nissan is rather small insie and only takes 5 passengers so it is exactly like the MBH TX4 and similarly priced but the Nissan has better build quality and warranty.
MBH have always offered a really poor warranty and fight drivers all the way on any warranty claim.

Just look at the way they treated all the drivers who's taxis went on fire or put off the road, for weeks, by their licensing authority as a precaution.

The sooner this iconic vehicle is condemed to the transport museum the better for every cabbie.
Not so good for the shareholders.
Shareholders just look at how few shares the directors hold. In the last 7 years directors have sold well over a million pounds worth of shares and bought just £30,130.

Tells you how much confidence they have in the outfit, doesn't it?

Last one out shut the taxi door.

I have noticed that every day this week, the broker ups the offer price to 13p. This is then lowered about an hour into trading to 11.5p. Today this lowering did not happen & the offer remains at 13p, making the spread a ridiculous 3p.
Perhaps some announcement is about to be made in the near future? Perhaps not.

Found out reason why they delayed statement - they wanted to mention new orders from Australia, India and Kazhakstanut too late. Don't know how many, but several hundred. I'm sticking with it, it'll rise.

The balance sheet is horrible. The partners will not buy this one when they pick up the assets in administration for peanuts.

The recent bad news was already priced in, although I did think a few would panic sell this morning.
I will continue to hold for the longer term.
A buy out by one of their partners is possible at some point.
