23/9/2006 07:57 | Wine is ridiculously priced out here in Thailand- fairly 'full bodied' plonky reds for about a tenner - double the price back home. I guess they don't keep too well out here with the heat but it doesn't seem to be a problem in the oldareas of French Indo China ie Cambodia Loas Vietnam where there's tons of nice drinkable plonk at reasonable prices - bout 5 bucks for an ok red. | dysonhooverman
22/9/2006 22:28 | Afraid its white only for me :-)........bad head with the reds.... | spectrum7
22/9/2006 22:04 | Anyone own any of the 1996 clarets? I've not really kept up to date with recent vintages but I think it is still the best year since the 1982? | lord butterstock
22/9/2006 22:02 | Evening Spec I knew this thread would attract some interest. Mainly riff raff at the moment. Don't worry, I am sure that the wine snobs will make an appeareance. | lord butterstock

22/9/2006 21:50 | jakass Do you hold? Chateau Margaux 1998 I mean? I believe it was a fine year with laying down potential. Let's put it this way - I think I'll be 104 until it's ready for drinking. | lord butterstock
22/9/2006 21:42 | Well, I've just popped down to my little cellar. A few odd bottles and a case of Taylor's 1945! I am somewhat partial to port but something tells me that this case is worth something after all these years. Any port collectors out there? | lord butterstock |
