Inventory rise of circa 70M is worrying as it means wines have not been sold
such wines have a limited shelf life

Likewise

"When taking into account actual trading results to date which are below forecast, a downside scenario of 3.7% against forecast would result in a breach of this covenant at June 2022 and as a result of the sensitivity in the downside scenario, management have identified a material uncertainty on meeting this covenant."

This is going to be of concern imo

Turnover is vanity, profit is sanity. Be warned - (as posted one year ago)

Shareholders telling them that all that marketing spend has to stop. But I suspect the BOD are not for listening.

You are spot on, the current forecasts could easily be missed!

I am a customer of this lot too, get a few cases a year from them and can’t knock them - better than Virgin (decent enough) or Laithwaites where I had a bad customer experience.

But to try and run a £350m turnover company at near breakeven seems madness. Hope they recover.

This is brutal. From a customer experience point of view, this is a terrific company. I was keen to invest on that basis, but I guess that the balance of risk and reward is now unclear, even down here.

In the "Going concern" statement they say:-

"When taking into account actual trading results to date which are below forecast, a downside scenario of 3.7% against forecast would result in a breach of this covenant at June 2022 and as a result of the sensitivity in the downside scenario, management have identified a material uncertainty on meeting this covenant."

Does that mean a covenant breach RNS is imminent?

As a member I noticed the big increase in marketing emails/offers, so I guess
they want/need to sell stock urgently.
Had just £540 in my Naked Wine account. Withdrawn it.
Will report on how that goes - it's supposed to be secure and returned in days.

I had some shares 2 years ago & cleared out more or less quits.

Read the "Going concern" statement. It looks a bit ominous. They're paving the way for breaching covenants. It ends with...

"On this basis the Board believes it is appropriate to prepare the financial statements on a going concern basis. However, this material uncertainty may cast significant doubt on the Group's ability to continue as a going concern and therefore to realise its assets and discharge its liabilities in the normal course of business."
