27/6/2002 00:43 | GUYS TAKE A LOOK AT A COUPLE OF COMPANYS SEE WHAT YOU THINK, 1,ATLANTIC CASPIAN ,ACA. 2,ASPINALLS ,ASP. BOTH HAVE BAGS OF POTENTIAL BUT BEEN FORGOTTEN ABOUT RECENTLY.THEY REALLY ARE READY TO MOVE. HAVE A LOOK SEE WHAT YOU THINK.. | pill box
27/6/2002 00:38 | Paul V, interesting site you found. | johnv
27/6/2002 00:29 | I cannot believe how low this has gone...... Are people reading the latest announcements ??? Regarding big deals done with Sky and the cable companies ??? All in before the end of the financial year ??? This company's software covers so much of corporate computer requirements !!!! IMHO a steal..... Paul V | ahead-computers.com
26/6/2002 22:45 | Simple facts?? If there is a material change to their last projection for the results they have to announce it before close.. No announcement this week then numbers should not have changed much although outlook may have? Two days to go!! Or have I missed something? | westernedge
26/6/2002 18:50 | what happened to QSP? | maryquant
26/6/2002 17:23 | exactly, if there are no announcements of good trading conditions don't buy. This is going the same way as QSP | 813061
26/6/2002 17:21 | You can't issue an RNS for every contract you win. That means the contracts aren't material to revenue. Still an awful spread. | 813061
25/6/2002 15:06 | GZR Thats what doesn't make much sense... All the evidence points to a profit warning this week prior to close??? BUT?? | westernedge
25/6/2002 14:09 | What announcement latifs? | pictureframe
25/6/2002 14:01 | wait for announcements b4 piling in | latifs100
25/6/2002 13:54 | unused borrowing facility is for 19m enough to cover the 12m payment. | johnv
25/6/2002 11:49 | 813061 - how do you know this? Aberforth certainly don't. If you are right they have made an horrendous mistake in picking up 16% of the company. | gzr
25/6/2002 11:30 | This company is going the same way as QSP - bankrupt. It looks cheap but it has cash committments relating to acquisitions and it has losses to fund. MMs won't touch it, hence the spread. Company won't issue a trading update until after the accounts have closed as they are hoping (incorrectly) to bring in some large orders. | 813061
25/6/2002 00:38 | I know it's not very liquid but who's going to deal on a 20% spread? MMs are barstewards, aren't they? | markth
20/6/2002 23:02 | spookies Hope so? Maybe not cause I aint got any yet!! 10 days to go till close>>>>> | westernedge
19/6/2002 17:57 | MAO seems to have stablised for the moment, hope this is the bottom. Here is waiting for the results. Tony. | spookies
18/6/2002 13:48 | I kind of agree - also there has been plenty of opportunity for directors to pick up a reasonably sized chunk of shares rather than just the monthly share plan amount of £150. So if it is such a bargain at these levels you would have expected a bit of director buying before the closed period. Hold off for now but am watching closely. Regards Baden | baden
18/6/2002 13:24 | Baden I reckon probably wise to wait for closed period to reduce risk somewhat. From previous share price movement it can move up fast!!! But? Not many people buying anything just now! I'll just keep watching a while longer methinks>>>> | westernedge
18/6/2002 11:43 | The interims showed net debt of around £3.5m - £8m in cash and liquid deposits and then the £11.6m unsecured loan notes. The company are also saying they have further facilties to fall back on - so I'm assuming that they are saying that they will have sufficient to repay the loan notes but this will leave them with net bank borrowings rather than cash. Agree with other comments about recovery potential - but a bit edgy about the cash flow. Want to invest at these levels but may hold of until after the FY results. Of course if I hold back and everything looks fine I'll probably have missed the boat. Regards Baden | baden
18/6/2002 00:27 | -any views on the unsecured loan notes item in the annual report and highlighted on another thread? -£11.6m is substantial....is this money owed for past aquisitions or something like that? -v.interested in MAO at these levels...but want to make sure there's not major pit-falls as well! -if MAO are'nt going to make their expectations, would have thought we would have heard by now...might make sense to leave it afew weeks till after the period close to be 'safe' -any views on the £11.6m item appreciated. | the prophet
17/6/2002 17:00 | Good point! Had a look at the £11.6m unsecured due within one year Although they have deferred income of £10m how much of that has been paid for and in the bank already? I don't see how the £11.6m can be repaid within 12 months out of free cash flow assuming last advised business levels. So although business may be profitable cashflow problem may be looming?? If so would that be solved by equity issue or some form of D4E?? OR they do have unused borrowing facility which could be used. Borrow to pay debts is Ok if revenues are stable / growing Like I said seems a strong buy but????? .......I'm not convinced and I'm not an accountant but Aberforth should know if anything nasty was looming? Anyone else with a view on the numbers????? | westernedge
17/6/2002 07:56 | westernedge, it's a real puzzle. They would appear to be a strong buy for recovery, Aberforth have been happy to build a really large stake. Maybe the market is only prepared to look short term at the moment. | gzr
17/6/2002 06:49 | Macro 4 plc 2001 Report & Accs page 45, note 22 - 'Maturity of Financial liabilities' - "£11,599,000 repayable within one year or ON DEMAND" (E'nuff said ?) Saggitus | hardmanandco
16/6/2002 21:31 | Since 29/5 ignoring X trades which are (Aberforth paper shuffles etc) and m trades there have been 206k sells and 186k buys so a 20k difference approx Resulting in a 40%+ decline in share price bid from 110 to 65 Now I may be stupid??? but with an institution increasing holding and closed period due from end of month. What is going on?? 1 Market especially tech stock capitulation? Yes but 40% on no news ? 2 Profit warning/ bad news coming? Maybe but Wouldnt Aberforth catch a rumour? 3 Grossly Overvalued to start with? Didn't some well known techrag tip these @ 252p in Jan 2002? 4 Cash? OK £4.4 m at last interims plus unused drawdown Don't hold but have tracked for yonks There are only 2 weeks for a pre close statement/ warning. Have I missed something obvious? Or is it really a strong buy? | westernedge |
