More of Firebird's Fluorspar assets heading our way maybe ? or just to get Tunisian Fluorspar out of the ground ? No more than we deserve after years of waiting !! | suits you

15/2/2011 08:32 | erh, no....But must be soon!! TYM have more drilling results, and they are still only 16% in the main..With no existing plant... | dreggspicker
15/2/2011 08:31 | They always said it will take 2 to 3 months to become fully operational. They have sizeable orders so I presume it's full speed ahead. Although the share transfer is dependent on an EGM the loan doesn't appear to be so there shouldn't be any holdups. I would guess the Tunisian situation has delayed things a little, specially if they intend offering mms stock to Sallies minority holders. | godolphin
15/2/2011 08:24 | Good news guys....but do we know when? | borisimo
15/2/2011 08:16 | grrrreat! But they still have not sorted the laggards on the Sallies shareholder list...... | dreggspicker
15/2/2011 07:38 | Re-opening. | godolphin
13/2/2011 20:24 | See links on REE thread, but suggest shopping around for REE exposure | archie meads
13/2/2011 20:20 | anybody know about this company? Sunday, February 13th, 2011 Dear Energy and Capital Reader, Rare Earth Metals (REEs) are as important to modern industry as oil, steel, and electricity... Without them, your cell phone's battery would never work... the computer you're using to read this wouldn't turn on... car batteries would never hold a charge... and our modern air defense systems would be rendered useless. In short, just about everything with complex circuitry depends on REEs to function. The Rare Earth family of elements has been a godsend to the technological growth of the last 50 years. Here's the problem, though - and I've been writing about this for some weeks now: For 20 of those 50 years, the Chinese have been hoarding this crucial resource. Not only do they own 95% of the world's REE producers; but in the last four months, they've cut world exports THREE times. It's no less of a threat to your way of life than the Arab oil embargos of the 1970s. And just last week, NASA satellites spotted massive REE storage facilities in operation in Inner Mongolia. They're being built as far from international waters or foreign land as possible, and are big enough to hold tens of thousands of tons of this essential material. China's plan has always been simple: monopolize REEs, control pricing, and do it in a time when the world needs them most. It seemed foolproof... But thanks to a sudden - and very timely - twist of fate, this plan may have just fallen apart. Because the world's biggest reserve of REEs was recently discovered. With an estimated value of $273 billion, it's as far from Beijing's grip as could be. Sitting ready to be mined in Southern Greenland, it's enough to supply the world for 50 years... Not to mention single handedly turn Greenland into a globally-significant economic powerhouse. But the most shocking part of all: It's all in the hands of a single junior mining company. Get all the facts on this world-changing development right now... Before the Wall Street Journal and New York Times turn it into the story of the year. | nils214
13/2/2011 08:36 | A little more on Firebird's Mongolian activities from the same site Notice from scrolling news how well Sharyn Gol is doing under Firebird's governance. Lets hope they can do the same here. | suits you
11/2/2011 10:59 | patience my friend, patience..... :@} | dreggspicker
11/2/2011 08:40 | Cheers DP, I'd be happy to see MMS go to 14p ! | borisimo
11/2/2011 08:16 | just looked at TYM, the article is about them. Strange as the grade is low, around 16% (also could lose 25% of that when milled)probably hard rock, dear labour, and must be a right pain in the winter, no existing plant or workforce, but on the plus side there is alot in the ground. | dreggspicker
11/2/2011 08:03 | the main thing it must say, are the signs for fluorite are getting bullish - but we already know that don't we........ | dreggspicker
11/2/2011 00:24 | Fluorspar Miner can Address China problem. 'China's rapid industrialistation is sending most metals markets into a tailspin and one company, specalising in fluorspar, is set to do well'. Unfortunately you need to be registered to read the full article...I'd love to know who it is though. Anyone registered? | borisimo
10/2/2011 23:00 | Related /unrelated ? who knows but fascinating report on the next big thing, Mongolia, where Firebird have been very active for some considerable time and have 26% of a Fluorspar Co. | suits you
10/2/2011 21:11 | Looks like they got their financing to fund current development and operating objectives and now looking for strategic partners. So far Firebird have said their investment in Canada Fluorspar is for passive purposes. Canada Fluorspar still need finance for the project so Interesting to see who will become their strategic partner. | suits you
10/2/2011 20:55 | Nice presentation from Canada Fluorspar, some relevant facts of interest in general on the subject of Fluorspar. Firebird have 18.4 % in 2009 although % may have changed since as fairly sure Canada Fluorspar have had some placing / share issue, since then. Note from slide 23, they are looking for strategic partner tie up / financing Q4 2010/Q1 2011. Will have a look to see if they have update. | suits you |
