There may well be further falls with DTEC but we also know that there will be important newsflow in the very short term. I've followed DTEC closely for nearly a year and finally bought a maiden holding this week. I like the company alot and I think it's got significant potential. Recent RNS's have been positive and the directors buying last year is also very encouraging. I'm very surprised that the share price has dropped so much. And to think I thought that there was great value here at 12p.

IF DTEC does fall, I'll look to increase my holding. Of course they have to deliver but if they do then the potential for share price appreciation should be much greater than current levels.

Trouble is, you put a buy order in for say 100k, and you can get them at 2.45 on T20 terms, suggets to me there could be further falls rather than a tick up, but then again, wtfdik?

Hi Drew,
I agree - thats why I think it is a good time to buy :)
Of course, as always, I could be wrong.

seems there's plenty of stock about, so not going to be moving upwards without a proper news release to mop it all up.

Hi Dorset,
Go take a swim :):)
I am quietly confident in DTEC - there is massive potential if all goes to plan, and all tests on the new equipment has so far been positive.

My understanding is that the new equipment is now on site, and that we should have a positive RNS in a the next few weeks.
If anyone wants further info,I suggest an email to the CEO, Julian Moore, may be productive.
I do not feel it would be proper of me to give out his email address here, but, if you phone the Company, I am sure they will give it to you - UK 07787 825 269

Yes, always puzzles me how these inverstments I make after huge amounts of research and careful selection continue to be so undervalued.

Maybe I (and you for that matter) might have to question the value or quality of the research?

Or maybe we are just unlucky (like so many investors like to consider themselves) that the current credit crisis has led so many large insitutions to sell so many shares, particularly in small caps, since perhaps they know there are further, possibly more worrying, challenges ahead?

I am a bit puzzled right now. Several of my shares seem to be undervalued and I cant see why?!?

Looks like somebody is unloading a lot of shares at 2p - (2,500,000 in the last few days), but, the share price has not dropped - my guess is that it is an Institution selling - ( maybe Corvus as already suggested) - but, I can only think that there is a big buyer, or another Institution taking them up, otherwise we would have had a dramatic fall in share price by now.
If I am right we should see another RNS re the buys and sells when all has been completed.
Any views?

The update was almost exactly what I thought and pretty boring. However it is good news to hear no bad news and to hear they are on track.

Results today a bit of a none event - I suspect we have to wait until late April / early May for a meaningful update on progress, as per the comment in the RNS below.

" We have made good progress with the manufacture of LRUs and the
commissioning of the large scale production plant at Grasfontein and expect this plant to be in production by the end of April 2008."

You are correct, HD - no matter what my views are, this board is not the place for me to air them - apologies.
From English Steve in Cyprus :):)

Hi HD,
Yes - The North is certainly cheaper - but, without wishing to get involved in politics, bear in mind that much of the land and property in the North is being bought and sold illegally following the Turkish invasion, when the Cypriots were forced to flee their homes, to which they own title deeds.
This may,or may not, come home to roost financially in the longer term, but, maybe there are moral considerations to consider also.
However, that is not the purpose of the board, so,good luck to the good ship DTEC and all who sail in her :)

Steve

Hi HD,
PROPER Cyprus - Northern Cyprus only exists according to Turkey :):)
I hope DTEC pays for it for you also - good luck.
Either way, I am quietly confident in the long term future of this share.
Regards
Steve
