10/3/2008 21:07 | Steve, just sent you an email with regards to the above. Dorset | dorset64
10/3/2008 21:05 | Hi Dorset, Thanks for the info - no worries - good luck with all. I think we have a good future with DTEC. Regards Steve | cyprussteve
10/3/2008 20:21 | sorry chaps but the first trade of the day, was my sell. I needed the funds to make a quick buck on another, of which came off, but will be back in as soon as the other one starts to re-trace, of which at some point it will. It was pleasing to see that I got above the bid for my sale on the open market, without the need to place an order. Bodes well for the current price. Dorset | dorset64
08/3/2008 07:48 | it did drop 4% intraday, then recovered to unchanged | andrbea
06/3/2008 21:25 | Yes - it seems to be the day's only trade, but no change showing in share price - odd ! | cyprussteve
06/3/2008 12:00 | 500k sale at 2.25p,Looks like there may be a forced seller around | kenatbabken
04/3/2008 15:46 | "DiamondTech is thinly traded, it did 50,000 shares today and closed under 9 pounds sterling" We should be so lucky | kenatbabken
04/3/2008 15:34 | Hi andrbea, Major shareholders as below from their website. I also copy below the headline information from the advfn website, which you have probably already seen, but, it makes an interesting read. Regards Steve "DiamondTech's diamond sorting technology has been developed to be a more efficient and cost effective alternative to the diamond sorting systems currently being employed in the diamond industry, the most common being a combination of a DMS in conjunction with either an X-ray or grease trap system. The technology uses an innovative technology based on the use of red lasers and a computerised optical recognition technique which automatically detects diamonds from run of mine material by identifying the wavelength shift, known as the Raman shift, when the laser passes through a diamond. Diamonds identified by the laser detection system are then automatically extracted by pneumatic jets into a safe which can only be accessed by authorised personnel. Key Advantages: -More efficient recovery process -Small and type II diamonds (clear diamonds) -Faster throughput -Lower capital and operating costs for mining partners -Enhanced security as human intervention minimised -Transportability gives access to remote areas and quick set-up times" | cyprussteve
04/3/2008 15:25 | some comments about dtec (Oct 2007) Matt is keen on AIM listed DiamondTech Inc. ... 'which is involved in a diamond sorting technology known as Laser Recovery, and going into mine development joint ventures as a means of commercialization'. He says the stock has crashed over the last couple of months - from 13 to 8 pounds sterling - and wonders if I have any knowledge of the company given my 'bullish position' on diamond shares. Frankly I had never thought about the 'supply and services' side of the diamond industry. I mean, you could always buy DeBeers I suppose, if you can afford it. Actually, truth be told, I was just conversing with someone the other day about how laser technology should be used to improve the recover of gems from ore and or aluvial gravels. That's what DiamondTech's technology does. Its Laser Recovery Unit technology is used to process diamond-bearing gravel, also called 'run of mine'. The process is reportedly faster, more accurate, and more cost-effective than currently available sorting technologies. DiamondTech is thinly traded, it did 50,000 shares today and closed under 9 pounds sterling. The company's goal is to commercialise the LRU technology, and it's already entered into a revenue sharing agreement with some mineral rights holders in South Africa. If I were looking to buy DiamondTech my due diligence would include looking over their shareholders and especially the companies they plan to joint venture with. Interesting deal though. Drop me a line if you get the inside track on this LRU technology. | andrbea
04/3/2008 15:09 | Just tried a dummy buy and was quoted 3p which is below mid price so that trade today must be a buy.As you say Steve they,ll most likely update in the results,I might top up a few before then. | kenatbabken
04/3/2008 10:43 | Results are due late March -( 29-03-07 last year ) - I am sure we will have a full, and very positive, update then. Regards Steve | cyprussteve
04/3/2008 10:31 | remember, it was 12p in May 2007 so profits and losses: it's all very relative if you bought at 12p, a profit is a long way off to me the story is in the final straight within 1 to 2 months: we should know if the laster technology works, at the prototype scale, and whether the foreign operators (eg Botswana) are lining up to buy it or not. | andrbea
04/3/2008 10:21 | Indeed. Quiet today... But that's good. I honestly thought that we could expect to see a couple of % down today as people take some profits. The fact its quiet is good. | affhouse
04/3/2008 07:42 | affhouse, happy with my holding, but looking to add on any weakness. this could have a great 2008. | humbugg
03/3/2008 12:12 | I have just put in a limit order so if the price drops a little as people profit take I buy a few thousand more. :-) | affhouse
03/3/2008 11:48 | Yes good strong buying today makes you wonder where it could go to on some positive news | kenatbabken
03/3/2008 11:34 | Well, so far today every single trade has been a buy, not one single sell. Looking good as you cannot buy anything below offer on-line at the mo. Dorset | dorset64
03/3/2008 11:23 | I suspect that we are bound to see some profit taking at some time after the rises of the last three days, but, if this does happen, it simply represents a buying opportunity - LOTS to go for with this little "diamond" :) Regards Steve | cyprussteve
03/3/2008 11:05 | if people from foreign diamond sorting projects are impressed, in 2008, with dtec's technology, then the share price really would take off IMO look at the value of conventional sorting machines eg those made be De Beers (in use by another operator, not dtec, in Botswana): "He also explained that the building has state-of-the-art technology, fully funded by De Beers and comprises 39 diamond sorting machines with a combined value of P69 million. The beneficiation manager also highlighted that the new building has a total capacity to process 45 million carats and accommodate up to 600 employees. In addition to sorting and valuing, Mr Dabson mentioned that DTC Botswana was from 2009 to make aggregated diamond mixes available for sale in Botswana for local manufacturing. This will support the countrys vision to drive job creation and value creation from the countrys diamond resources, he explained. When fully operational, DTC Botswana will be the largest and most sophisticated diamond sorting and valuing operation in the world, sorting and valuing all of Debswanas production." | andrbea
03/3/2008 10:37 | I guess that depends on the level of good news we get askewg. If it is very good news like a lot of people are thinking then I think you could double all your predictions!! From what I hear everything is going well and the LRU is doing exactly as it says on the tin: "DiamondTech's diamond sorting technology has been developed to be a more efficient and cost effective alternative to the diamond sorting systems currently being employed in the diamond industry" There were problems, power cuts/poor weather, but these problems are being sorted. | affhouse
03/3/2008 10:27 | I think the potential is a lot higher than that looking at the longer term... Possibly 20p in 12 months. Looking at 6 months.. I think 15p could be possible. 3months - 9p. NEXT WEEK: 5p Probably wrong but this is what I think should be possible with the level of news I expect. | askewg
03/3/2008 10:03 | If you look at the chart, DTEC was at 13p last June - I am not saying it will get there again, but, it shows what the potential is at the current price. Regards Steve | cyprussteve
03/3/2008 09:46 | I guess the next rns may be about heavy earthworks plant deliveries which they forecast for March. | h d shoring
03/3/2008 09:37 | Hi H D, A few weeks ago I did the same and I couldnt find anything either. I then emailed one of the directors about a couple of questions and was happy with the response. | askewg |
