09/11/2017 10:56 | Maybe the odd fact and a little less emotion would help. The potential covenant breach is not about cash, it is about net assets. LMI were to make a non cash impairment which would bring the net assets to below $1.1bn. That is a beach of covenants we are informed. The management are trying to avoid this, maybe by disposals or other means. Hence the delay to the results. The uncertainty of this has resulted in investors fearing the worst, a shorters paradise, a one way ticket. I wonder about that. The company is in better shape than before, and should have a sound future. I take comfort from the fact that SA mining pension funds own over 30% of the shares, purchased for an average price of a little over £1. This is a risky punt to be sure, but possibly one of those rare high risk opportunities. | careful

09/11/2017 10:11 | hard to understand why merger should be out of the question. With only a few PMG producers, controlling supply wold make sense. Control supply the way De beers controlled diamonds and OPEC used to control oil. It could happen and probably will. ..and the takeout price for LMI would be a multiple of todays price. | careful
09/11/2017 10:00 | Dearly-WTF is that all about? The most immature ridiculous on LMI for a long time. Obviously you have no knoladge of this sector at all. Cringe-worthy post! dealy 9 Nov '17 - 09:46 - 14865 of 14866 0 0 All it takes is one merger, then stop the most difficult 5% of mining and the industry will be highly profitable | master splinter aka rat
09/11/2017 09:59 | palladium up again today at $1018/oz. Yesterdays EU 'aggressive' CO2 targets by 2030 has upset car manufacturers. But it will significant increase demand for palladium for petrol engines. Many people assume that the electric only car is a non starter because of battery charging demands. Hybrid possibly, with some electric and a proper engine for serious motoring. LMI has valuable assets going forward, just hoping that we current owners will keep them. | careful
