03/11/2017 22:42 | 60% of lmi costa are labour related. employees + contractors. The wage bill must be reduced significantly. | careful

03/11/2017 21:22 | dealy, you are swinging from side to side like a drunk on his way home after a big night out. Let's get real the bankers now own Lonmin. The covenant is considered breached. They are the ones Lonmin has to negotiate with as they are the ones who can now pull the facilities. To do this Lonmin may not have to sell parts of its assets, maybe introduce JV partners who will want some of the equity all to also get new debt capital into Lonmin. That will not come cheap. There is no room for a 4th RI, so the bankers can now hold, and will hold Lonmin to ransom to keep providing it with its facilities. Either that, or get rid of some of its precious assets. Lonmin are not going to get top $ for them either as they know what desparate position Lonmin are in. I think they call it a 'fire-sale'. | elvisrocks
03/11/2017 20:32 | Looking at different comments from analysts etc it looks like the future profitability is the main concern rather than the tangible asset covenance. Was that really more evident in today's rns than already assumed? | dealy

03/11/2017 19:16 | Interesting to see how this pans out now. Profit will be minimal. Cash flow slightly positive. Are they shaping up for another cash call? it will be the fourth in recent years. They cannot seem to take the drastic action required. The head count is still too high and the wages and benefits seem too expensive for LMI to bear. lmi are also expected to contribute to the community housing projects. Shareholders are the least priority, buy thank goodness the Union have a big shareholding. | careful
