05/9/2024 06:17 | Still waiting for my takeover.. I did say back last Xmas that this year we would see high numbers of takeovers and that has been the case up until now where deals have slowed over the summer. I still live in hope that i will see at least one by this Xmas, who knows i could easily still get three or even four come in and that could happen all at once you just never know.. | cfro
04/9/2024 12:59 | I could do with a couple of my reits being taken over, I hold WHR, Shed, Bbox, THRL, Surp. | igoe104
04/9/2024 06:29 | Tritax Eurobox being bought by Segro.. | cfro
04/9/2024 06:28 | MNG a solid dividend of 6.6p paid next month... | cfro
03/9/2024 16:06 | Some weird falls today including POS and one of mine SWG over 7%. POS is PS biggest position so that's going to hurt. | igoe104
03/9/2024 08:24 | We've all got a weak company in our portfolio, that we are not keen on but still holding on for a reason. Mine is boo, I'm about 85% down and only still holding on because Mike Ashley fraser group keep increasing its stake. My feeling is, he knows the industry in side out, so I may as well hang onto them, and hope things improve.. or it gets taken out... | igoe104
03/9/2024 06:29 | Looks like there could be a bid for RMV.. | cfro
03/9/2024 06:29 | A handful of stocks reporting this morning. Good results from STVG and ALU along with a nice increase in dividend. MANO accounts are hard to get to grips with. Propects look a bit better but not sure how much longer i will continue to hold these. | cfro
03/9/2024 06:09 | Good to see that KITW results are inline, especially with the slow start to the year because of the rain.. next years should look extremely good if they get Normal weather conditions.. A new distribution centre will be finished for you boys in the south West in October.. | igoe104
02/9/2024 08:13 | Didn't think much to AT. results, a twitter favourite. Shares quite a way off it's peak. Had previously been a good performer but with a balance sheet with holes in it's likely to come unstuck imo.. | cfro
02/9/2024 06:29 | CNC results are great and should be the bedrock now to move onwards and upwards. Just a shame they refuse to pay a dividend.. I see the private equity industry have warned Mr Starmer not to tinker with CGT otherwise they will up and leave and there will be no UK deals done.. | cfro
02/9/2024 06:10 | Excellent results for CNC. Contract win for MWE.. | igoe104
31/8/2024 14:56 | Investors podcast. | igoe104
31/8/2024 08:51 | I hope and pray nasty Mr Starmer leaves ISA's well alone.. There is talk around some changes to pensions which again should be left well alone. Also they are on about putting up CTG inline with income tax, another brainless idea and would cause a wave of selling in some small-caps that have done well over the years and held outside tax-free wrappers. Who knows what to expect from someone who wants to ban smoking outside pubs now.. | cfro
31/8/2024 05:54 | Alot of noise going around about this upcoming Labour budget. I certainly can't see any tax on ISAs being introduced, I think it would end up on the courts if the suddenly introduced a tax system to a tax free saving account. The only thing Labour have said about ISAs the want to simplify them . Id imagine they will push CGT up alittle though... But it still doesn't stop folks making stuff up, like the 100k cap on ISAs, 🤷 | igoe104
30/8/2024 21:05 | Desert island podcast. | igoe104
30/8/2024 06:28 | IC investing in Insurers: | cfro
29/8/2024 15:02 | So pleasing to see AV going so well and hitting new highs. A fantastic company and one of my favourite holdings.. I think the share price will go to atleast 700p in time. It is certainly worth that on a fundamental basis at the very least. Would be a dividend of 5% at that price so it would still offer great value. In fact i would be happy to pay that and buy more collecting the 5% dividend from such a brillaint company if that was the price today.. | cfro
29/8/2024 06:23 | Advisers are apparently reporting a flurry of enquires from various business owners wanting sell their businesses frightened on what Labour might announce in the forthcoming budget.. I suspect we might see takeovers start to pick back-up again as we move into the Autumn then, especially with interest rates coming down which in turn makes in more attractive for private equity to deploy their capital. Just hope Labour don't do anything too nasty.. | cfro
28/8/2024 08:54 | Tune was £18 afew years ago as well, now less than £3.. | igoe104
28/8/2024 08:35 | GSK at the forefront of using AI in new drug discovery.. TUNE warning... | cfro
28/8/2024 06:28 | Three positive RNS for GSK..these look a very good long-term hold, especially as the zantac thing continues to look positive for them.. | igoe104
27/8/2024 16:56 | The directors of AV are still buying shares.. A non-exec Andrea Blance has picked-up 15k paying 495p... | cfro
23/8/2024 15:00 | I note that MPE's major shareholder KL Kepong have bought more shares over the last few days and now hold 24%. That's the first time they have purchased more since a few years ago. They may try to bid for the company again, they tried unsuccessfully a few years ago, i think in 2017, when the share price was half where it is today. | cfro |
