20/11/2014 15:48 | Axelfoley - with that name, ain't that the pot calling the kettle black (no pun intended). End of day, I take risks. Am not asking you to and I wouldn't advise you too either. When I first did this 12 years ago, it was very hard to sleep knowing you have 5-20K in something which might not be in existence in the morning. Then waking up to find that it wasnt. Now I just deal with it and move on. Typo56, Some stats... I have had 3 wipeouts in last 5 years LOND being one of them, although in this case it was not my cash but paper profits as I was lucky enough to take it off the table, unlike the other two (ZATT and ABH) where I was wiped out of my holding in their entirety...(some £45K+). I have also 4 investments which have been reduced to less than 50%(currently hold) I have had 7 that have spike to over 500% and of them: 2 over 800% 1 over 900% Aside from them, I have also had 11 investments where I have managed to secure minimum 80% and 15 investments where I am currently down on my holding by at least 40%. All my investments are in diverse sectors including Healthcare, IT/Telecom, Copper/Zinc Mining, Gold Mining and Some O&G producers. Two are on the ASX, rest are UK LSE of which, majority are AIM. Many people get hung up here and some will be visiting to see what has happened to their cash now that the company is gone. I say to those, move on. If your not sleeping at night, look for other investments where the risk is low. Buy FTSE100 and 250 shares with good growth potential. Research Research Research Research ....cant say that enough. Sometimes, I really want to mention an EPIC here to show what I look for when I invest but its a bad policy. I find when respected users 'pump' another company of the wrong board it only reduces the respect I have for them. Good Luck with all your investments. Duxy786 | duxy786_3
05/11/2014 08:27 | How many 9 baggers do you get for every wipeout though? Any stats? How many high risk 9 baggers have you had? I've very rarely held anything long enough for that sort of return. | ![]() typo56
05/11/2014 07:57 | Jane, watch the shorters pull it down to near nothing. If and when they do, I will get in. In that senario, 10k very quickly becomes 100k. Risky, but then, that what I am about. 10k lost or 90k gain...win some or lose some...Seen it, done it, have the t-shirts! | ![]() duxy786

Today alone, up 17%. Range resources RNS today: Range is pleased to confirm that following the announcement of award on 3 February 2014, the Company has signed the Exploration & Production Licence for the St Mary's Block in Trinidad with the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. A signing ceremony was held in Port of Spain on 31 October attended by Senator the Honourable Kevin Ramnarine, Minister of Energy and Energy Affairs. RRL Up 8% VOG - Watch this space - Going up, up 100% for me since days when it got smacked to the ground, when I purchased at 0.6p so not worried there. Tower Resources, has been making higher highs since that post too although I am not invested there, it looks like its going to spike. New I mentioned in my last post. To summarise: You have got 7 wrong on your list of 9....sorry mate, figures talk facts. Edit: Credit where credit due, he has gone one half of his perdition correct. Sefton (crooks and skint) ...they definitely skint, as the RNS proves today. Having said that, SER are in production and provided Oil continues to flow, a M&A target for local operators. All is not lost yet. Not a holder, but wish all holders there well. Today's RNS is going to present a good buying opportunity. | duxy786_3

31/10/2014 10:55 | Guys I say at this moment you may now want to get into IOF. It has a Pending water permit for Missouri which is to be granted on 1 Dec if no objections. Means they can collect and sell water at their depots in Oklahoma (fracking hotspot in US) to frackers whilst trying to take over global iodine market with their patented plants which extract iodine from fracked salt wells. 25/10/2014 20:41 | As previously said, this is how executive fraud works. If in trouble take the company to pennies, sell it for a £1 at admin, then shareholders get nothing and company still runs, BODs get their pay cheques and bonuses and golden hand shakes, and all continues rosy. Few years later new owner sells it on to new investors on an IPO and stands to pocket $$$$Millions.... Remember Game group? Just saw them on high street and booming business, and I was shareholder and got "jack-all", and no sign of them being BK! That's capitalism!!! London mining assets have huge value, but circumstances thanks to BODs these are going free now, and new owner Timis and lender stands to make huge sum of profits in several hundred million in few years!!! I do wish miracle happens and we get something, but I know this never happens and we shareholders get nothing as always! I haven't touched AIM shares since and will never again!!! | ![]() mali7 |
