duxy768: "As for those pathetic enough to come here and say 'I told you so'..."

You don't suppose you'd have said much the same, had they resumed trading and taken off? You suppose you'd have felt much sympathy for the burnt shorters?

London Mining enters into administration as Ebola outbreak hurts Sierra Leone mine

Thu, 16th Oct 2014 16:45

London Mining on Thursday said a"dramatic fall" in iron ore prices and the Ebola crisis had led the company to enter into administration.

The group said the iron ore prices left the business without enough liquidity and the negotiations between the lenders and potential buyers of the Marampa mine in Sierra Leone took longer than expected.

Sierra Leone is one of the most affected countries with the Ebola outbreak, which the firm said is a "going concern".

Chief executive Graeme Hossie said: "I applaud [the employees] for the ongoing leadership role our team has played within the private sector in Sierra Leone in helping address the challenges of the current Ebola crisis.

"The Marampa mine retains excellent fundamentals and it is our sincere wish for it to find the appropriate financial support to continue operating over the longer term."

Hopefully a wake up call for those who blindly follow the moves of fund managers and professional investors (inc Buffett).

London Mining’s Greenland asset, is high and dry, and it’s not just London Mining investors who will be out of pocket. Anglo Pacific, the well-known London-based royalty group, has a big exposure - Today, 9:04 PM

If you left money on the table then more fool you. You were warned by the company via RNS of its impending failure.

Don't say you weren't warned about this going bust.

The company even warned you all.

If anybody has lost money on this then you need to take a long hard look in the mirror and ask yourself questions about your investment strategy.

I know emotions are running high, but shorters will be closed at zero so will make 100%. Although it will take a while.

And anybody buying this after the RNS on the 8th (and probably well before that) isn't an investor

CEO Graeme Hossie said: "London Mining established substantial operations at Marampa, having brought back commercial mining to Sierra Leone after forty years. I salute all our employees for their dedication and contribution to create this project. I applaud them for the ongoing leadership role our team has played within the private sector in the country to help address the challenge of the Ebola crisis. It is our sincere wish to find the appropriate financial support to continue operating over the longer term."

The CEO was so busy backslapping he forgot to apologise to shareholders.

Yes all hopes all rumours down the drain :-(
Very sad day for me...but life has to go on...although a tough lesson...I am out of AIM for good.

Anyway Good Luck in your investments and there is no quick way of recovering these losses...so do not rush anything.
