20/11/2015 20:11 | Got my cash. Happy to end this ugly saga. It's also the last of my 6 Chinese investments. 2 were good and 4 were disasters, so ended down 20% or so. Will never invest in Chinese companies outside of an investment trust again. Indeed, I am now very wary of overseas companies on AIM. Good luck to those on this BB. No doubt someone will make a lot of money on the remaining mysterious investment which is obviously worth something. | topvest
20/11/2015 18:30 | Wouldn't be surprised if this fictitious employment trust are linked to the 29% holder which would mean they would have to make an offer for the company. The directors as inept as ever, but then what do they care, they have taken most of the cash. | morro
20/11/2015 17:51 | From LDC..... I can confirm that there was a recent invitation by the trustee of the LAC employment benefit trust to those shareholders that had responded to a shareholder survey letter that we sent out in August to all shareholders. The trustee asked those shareholders if they wished to offer their shares at 2p. But that invitation has now closed I’m afraid. We do not know what the trustee’s intentions are with regard to future private purchases. I am sorry that I can’t be of more help to you at this time. | unionhall
20/11/2015 11:32 | funds received - glad to get and glad to forget !! Its been a long and winding road and many salutary lessons learned. Good luck to any holders. | curt3
20/11/2015 10:09 | HSBC has received the money. | stevenlondon3
20/11/2015 09:53 | Anyone seen any $$$ yet? | marksp2011
07/11/2015 09:17 | Thanks STEVEN for the reply, I'll contact Barclays Monday... ZZZ P.S. There must be a fair number of dissenting holders. | zorija
07/11/2015 09:04 | You would need to contact your broker but HSBC needed to know by the 28th October. | stevenlondon3
07/11/2015 08:24 | I don't remember receiving any documentation for this offer, maybe it just got lost. If I wanted to accept now how would I go about it ??? Thanks in anticipation... ZZZ | zorija
07/11/2015 05:46 | Anybody received any money yet from the share sale? | irenekent
26/10/2015 16:51 | Update on the supposed offer from the company - it cannot be from the company as they don't have any legal authority to repurchase shares. | morro
26/10/2015 14:51 | So are there two separate offers? We have this Swiss letter and then HSBC on behalf of the company. The directors have a fiduciary duty to shareholders (ha ha)and should have made some comment about this Swiss offer. | morro
26/10/2015 14:14 | Me too - I'm out. Didnt expect anything back. Good riddence! | bernieboy
26/10/2015 09:52 | I am taking the 2p, too, in respect of both of my holdings. The letter I have received from TD Direct says nothing useful about the timing. The letter from Hargreaves Lansdown says that cash will be paid by 19 November. Both letters say that the tender offer is being made by the London Asia Capital Employee Benefit Trust. | mrwoo
26/10/2015 09:46 | I have received a letter from HSBC saying that the company has proposed arepurchase offer. "Tender offer-Shareholders can tender all or part of their shareholding, for repurchase by the company at a rate of 2p per share." I am taking the 2p ...a bitter lesson. (Presumably the Chinese shareholder will control a greater proportion of the company). | stevenlondon3
26/10/2015 08:26 | topvest I agree. I'm selling, luckily I need to crystallise a loss against CGT. | irenekent
22/10/2015 21:09 | I'm going to use one of my deposit accounts with 1P in it. The whole thing looks a bit of a rip off to be honest. If someone is prepared to pay us 2p per share they must be worth a lot more. There is no information on exactly who the buyer is and no information forthcoming on how much the valuable investment is worth. Probably worth a fortune knowing our luck! Anyway, I've had enough and just want out rather than being reminded all the time of what a duff investment this has been. | topvest
22/10/2015 13:03 | Well I think I will take up the offer. A few hundred quid is much less than I put in - but better than nothing! | bernieboy
22/10/2015 11:21 | From 2014 annual report NAV is stated as 6.7p per share! Financial position Our statement of financial position is decreased with net assets of £15.3 million (2013: £17.4 million). This is equal to 6.7 pence per share (2013: 7.6 pence per share). Table 2 provides an analysis of the Group’s net asset position. As in previous years, our investment in Zhongying has been shown on the statement of financial position at cost. Due to the continuing difficulty in obtaining information from the company, the directors are unable to confirm whether this investment is realisable and whether the amount shown represents fair value. Cash and listed investments comprise £5.9 million (2013: £7.8 million) which represents 39% of our stated net assets. 3 | bernieboy
22/10/2015 10:07 | Very Wise to treat anything coming from London Asia Capital with extreme caution. The sharea are worth a good deal more that 2p. Unfortunately, the current directors appear to be doing little to benefit shareholders, apart from racking up expenses. | slaterconsult
22/10/2015 09:25 | Anybody still hold these? I just got a corporate actions notice for a tender for the company at 2p per share. Anyone here? Any comments? Personally I was pleased to get anything back - but obviously if they are offering 2p per share it is worth more than that! | bernieboy
21/10/2015 20:23 | I wonder who would be giving such a cheque. It couldn't be this Swiss Financial Advisor as no doubt he does not possess a sterling account. Did everyone who has received this letter actually say they wished to sell back in August? | morro
21/10/2015 17:05 | It appears that they don't wish to process cheques and so need bank details. They don't necessarily have to accept the offer to sell at 2p so I'm probably going to send mine in and ask for a cheque instead or so if I can use an account that is not my main account. What are others doing? | topvest
21/10/2015 13:03 | The guy that can answer queries is in tomorrow. Everyone call him please. Nothing on the web-site. Anyone feel brave enough to release bank account details..I'm not! Please give your bank account details to a company in Switzerland connected to London Asia, a company that has seen more frauds than most...you must be joking. They will need to send me a cheque. | topvest
21/10/2015 12:58 | I've now had the letter. Happy to sell. Has anyone checked that this is legitimate though as I do not really want to release my bank account details | topvest |
