Utrecht lol fair enough mate, it might fill the fuel tank for you though, lol, I take it you are in here heavily then? No wonder people got touchy when I was talking about 6p etc, sea nice post, let's hope a bidding war breaks out for this, I don't get it, I thought production was a good thing, it seems not right now, I will never understand the markets and the way they value company's, Oilies should be all over this knocking on the door right now, not long now before some news hey? Catch you guys later,

the real deal. Apols I'm not interested in lot sizes of only 300k in size. If you had a couple of million or more I'd be interested.

Bridge energy might be interested:-

from edison research 25/03/13:-

We understand further oil production acquisitions of 500 - 2,000bopd are also under consideration

and...

Based on the size of the tax loss pool Bridge expects it still has sufficient capacity to acquire an additional 500boepd to 2,000boepd of UK production under favourable economic terms. Bridge has a history of doing deals "off-
market" at favourable conditions, and we consider this especially important given the competitiveness of the current UK North Sea M&A market.

Utrecht, I'll take that fella do you want to give me 8.5p for my shares now and you will make a decent profit if they do pay that, are you a gambling man? Lol well I'll have a stab at 8p anyone else going to have a stab?

realdeal- I think that if it continues to pump at the same rate 11k per day and dry oil then we should be looking at a deal around 9p. I think LHD won't be independent by the end of the summer.

I thought i would go back to the original discovery in 2006 it seems this is a decent oil column so it could keep producing dry oil for a long time here,

We also have ties with Roxi petroleum with the Board appointments on LHD so as they are flush with funds would they be interested in buying us out? a nice little income for them as well,

No doubt they might be privy to inside info so not sure how ethical this would be, just trying to look at all the possibilities

utrecht so how much do you think it will command? i was reading this just now thought i would look at the discovery, it's a decent find this column of oil,

I think they will have to accept less than that or get a deal whereby they get say 6p in cash and shares of the acquiring company.

So what will Hendersons want for this then? if they have an average of 10p will they want a profit on that? of course they will surely, so is it safe to say we are looking at 10p Minimum? i would be over the moon if we were lol, somehow i can't see me being that lucky for such a small investment here, maybe it's me being suspicious of the markets etc these days, but i will wait until the end is in sight, cheers fellas, :-)

yes, I agree I think the ex-ceo knows more about the company the prospects, athena et all than most and wants a bigger slice of the pie. Its certainly positive that he would pick up a chunk more. We are certainly in the hands of hendersons. They have an average of 10p. How much of a loss are they willing to take on a deal?
utrecht_00

utrecht so it would seem the Ex CEO just wants part of the spoils then? as he can't do anything about a sale as he doesn't hold enough of the company to influence anything, so he is just jumping on board, with Hendersons & Jamie Brookes it seems we are in their hands & what they decide to do with the company.

i think moving to a 20% of production schedule is key for any acquirer so that info needs to come out. We are at 5p now which is much surpressed so it would take at least 7p now to get it. Maybe less risk to wait for news that further derisks and pay 8.5-9p for it. Agree something brewing with all the trades/ex ceo buying/hensersens buying etc.

It's the dry oil i'm more interested in here, if this can keep that up we will be laughing, any chance they might be holding their cards back the buyer as they want the dry oil to stop so they can get a better price? why would anyone wait for all good news to come through surely that would make it more expensive to buy? makes sense to take us out with an offer that will be better now for them, just a thought, something definitely brewing behind the scenes with all those trades going through.

yep, think we will get something in May. End of first gemini loan, end of henderson loan, athena still dry oil and who the new operator is would be great news and should see this over 6p.

This excerpt from the results to june 30 2012:-

Our immediate strength comes from the continuing cashflows from our interest in the Athena field, which after summer 2013 are expected to become substantial.

We are almost at this point, this is also when the company has stated that it expects offers to come.

Clive carvers plan is slowly playing out.

DJ Xcite Energy Gets Upgrade to Bentley Oil; Looks for Funding, Partners
LONDON--Xcite Energy Ltd. (XEL.LN), an oil company currently focusing on the development of discovered resources in the U.K. North Sea, Monday announced a 65% increase to the petroleum-initially-in-place at its Bentley Field following an updated reserves assessment report prepared by consultants TRACS.

MAIN FACTS:

-Mean petroleum-initially-in-place for the Bentley field of 909 million stock tank barrels, or MMstb, increased from 550 MMstb as previously reported in February 2012.

-1P (proven reserves), 2P (proved and probable) and 3P (proven, probable and possible) oil reserves for the Bentley field of 198 MMstb, 250 MMstb and 312 MMstb, respectively, based on an initial 35 year production period.

-Projected P50 peak production rate of approximately 45,000 stb a day in the first phase development, increasing to approximately 57,000 stb/d in the second phase development.

-NPV10 (after tax) value of oil reserves for the Bentley field of approximately $1.5 billion, $2.2 billion and $2.8 billion on a 1P, 2P and 3P basis, respectively.

-An additional 46 MMstb of P50 Contingent Resources (having a 50% certainty of being produced) assigned to the Bentley field for recoverable volumes beyond the initial 35 years production period.

-Will continue to move the project forward with on-going studies into the potential for enhanced oil recovery, which has yet to be factored into the reserves assessment.

-There is also further scope for field optimisation in order to accelerate delivery of the Contingent Resources, as well as the potential for exploration barrels from our Prospective Resources.

-Next goal is to fund the future development of its assets.

-By increasing reserves so significantly and developing a more balanced phasing of production volumes, with approximately half of the 2P reserves now expected to be delivered from the first phase development wells, Xcite anticipate being in a position to increase the borrowing capacity of the field considerably and shall be discussing this with existing and potential new lenders.
