"Bailey over saw that so never would have got my vote for BoE govenor."
He did, however, use the word "irredeemable" in the way that most of us understand it. That could one day be important.

With hind sight I should have tendered all rather than 60%. Been buying NWDB, not sure if I will LLPC due to ECN affair. Bailey over saw that so never would have got my vote for BoE govenor

Not an expert and not sure being an expert helps.I've been thinking the same as you too.But my simplistic approach is inflation's going up therefore interest rates will follow therefore fixed interest will adjust their yield likewise therefore price will drop further. The other point about the possibility of a lower forced tenders is in the domain of experts. But my simplistic view there is any further tender will be bad news (appreciate an expert's view on that, my view is useless gut feel).

I'm beginning to wonder if it would be a good idea to buy back that portion of shares that I tendered at 167.25p. The yield at 155p is back to 5.968% and though inflationary pressures are causing interest rate rises (and long-term expectations of more) - that's still quite a gap to fill - i.e from 0.75% to almost 6%.

OTOH, obviously, there's the risk of low-ball tender offers etc., as previously (and with less sympathy around for those who turned down the last one).

So what do the experts think???

"Anyone regretting not taking the 174.2p tender offer?"

For LLPC there wasn't one.

Perhaps it's better to not know much about the underlying ins and outs of these things. I just thought interest rates and inflation were heading higher, and that would put price of fixed interests down. Having said that, much of the cash raised from the sale has sat at zero interest since selling.

Again - Unusual 07:15 trades reporting on NWBD & LLPC today.

What ever these trade are, I find it strange that they happen on both prefs synchronously!

There should also be a small interest payment of 0.3818p per share. It is not yet in my HL account. Anyone got theirs?
