LIT are funding a huge class action in Australia.

hxxps://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-01-20/qld-energy-class-action-filed-electricity-bills-federal-court/13074428

This will be a very big pay day for them when the case settles..

I’m still curious why the lack of news, seems it’s been a while and don’t need to put it out for the sake of it, but wouldn’t mind something in the next few weeks to start the year off

There will not be a definitive notification. We have already had notification they were under 5% weeks ago and would not expect further information.

LIT is still performing well: good finish today. The spread tightened again during the latter part of the afternoon. Perhaps we need some news to keep it stoked up?

I still haven't seen definitive information that miton has departed the scene. I could easily have missed that at some point.

Indeed. They presented a very rare opportunity to buy at a 30% discount whilst fundamentals were on the up. The key now is holding for the long term, you may be able to upgrade that card to a bottle of champagne in a couple of years time ;)

I'm going to send a thank you card to the folks at miton. I owe them big time for that liquidity under 60p

Nice end to the week.
Hopefully now we can sustain these gains since miton have nothing to sell....

This company is still criminally undervalued, just less so than at 58p where I bet the farm

Exactly greenknight, why wouldn't it move up? 80p is the level the share price was at in late August when Miton began selling their 10% stake, so another 15% rise just to reach parity.

Overdue and undervalued

A strangely wide spread on not that many trades. Seems there is some action in the offing. Hope it isn't a takeover. Yes there will be a premium but it's far too soon for me.

Flirting with that next leg higher with the price currently at 69p.

Looks like alot of the bigger sell orders around that 67-69 mark (been regularly peeking in on the book) have been cleared so it has a chance of breaking higher now.

All imo

Looks like liquidity has dried up and miton are done.

Anyone wanting a decent stake here is going to have to pay up..

It's nice for it to finally get moving although I would have like the chance to get more at a lower price. Like many here this is a minimum 3 year conviction hold for me so any swings are of little interest. As long as the trend is up. Looking at the pace in growth of assets under management and subsequent income, growth will be exponential. In 5 years time this may well be a £1bn company and I certainly will not have a mortgage anymore!

Yes a bit of momentum finally arriving and we're steadily moving up, a break of 80p is the short term target, as that would equate to 15 month highs...more than warranted by the addition of the third party fund in that timeframe + subsequent deployments. £1.15 all time highs would then be the next challenge, really not that far away given the potential newsflow & positive background drivers for litigation.

I think those operating margins are certainly attainable for LIT too speny and the fund structure should leverage their capabilities to a greater extent too

If you take a longer term view (3-5 years) just have a look at the at how Burford Capital took off between 2014-2018, its share price went from 120p and touched £20. In 2014 their turnover was $80m and in 2018 $425m, they are currently £7 per share and have a MCap of £1.5Bn. I know Burford had great operating margins of an average 70%, but you have to believe there is vast potential for us here.

Personally I see huge potential here, presently it's still flying under the radar and there has only been a small amount of funds buying in, but that could quickly change with solid results going forward.

Maddox you are wrong. They were originally investors from the ASX days.

Here you can see

They sold a few at higher prices on the huge pump when the Aim ipo was done. But looks like they have added much more now

Hi johnwig,

They came on board November 2019 when the share price was a little higher than currently. Interesting firm the founders/fund managers are heavily invested in their own funds - so have skin in the game. They will have got to know LIT in Australia - so all looks good. There are quite a lot of videos on their investment style/philosophy style centered around value - haven't got time to watch now, so preliminary view.

Regards, Maddox

They know the company well and they are value investors, I haven't really followed them much as we haven't crossed paths apart from on LIT. But it's good to see stock being bought by long term oriented investors.
