We will not be seeing hotaimstocks on this thread again. I've done a jonwig on him, LOL! Please, the non-trolls continue with the good work. All viewpoints honestly put are, of course, accepted.

Walter

It was, but the nature of the Q&A showed again to me the challenges which LIT have in getting their message across. Perhaps once they're at scale after Fund II it might be easier?

Hi Greenknight - I need to do some thinking about how to model this when I have some time however their ROIC suggests that £1m invested today turns into £2.53m in 27 months' time...so very simplistically, the market is valueing each of those investments at a lower rate (just over £2m per £1m invested) but crucially also valuing the company as its it just has a one-investment time period. Obviously any investor know the power of compounding, and if you can compound returns at anything approaching those rates, then the value over 5-10 years is substantial and therefore the PBV should be multiples higher (in theory)

Hi Adam, what Price to Book would be reasonably expected for a ROIC such as LIT's?

Hi Johnwig

I cant access that article however it goes to my point yesterday....and asset (regardless of type or sector) which generates 153% ROIC should trade at a much, much higher multiple of book value than 2.2x. It suggests that the market doesn't believe that the 153% can be sustained, and to be fair, the company has stated that it will come down. However its so out of whack that the 153% would need to come down several-fold

It's well worth reading Simon Thompson's latest take on LIT in the IC, if you are able. "Strong Buy"

One of the sentences that stood out for me. "This also means that LCM’s historic price-to-book value of 2.2 times materially understates the value held on its balance sheet given the group’s high returns on invested capital."
