23/6/2005 16:35 | zz, the NZ reaction is somewhere along the lines of... Graham Henry (to the camera): "Fine team, what depth Clive has to be able to play a RWC-winning and Grand Slam-winning half at the same time, great move to select Back knowing that McCaw's injured and only at 10% fitness, etc etc" Graham Henry (away from the camera): "Thank Christ, now we can forget about the balls-up of the Lions in Australia!!" | shano100

23/6/2005 16:01 | mk - i know twas in jest zz williams has been playing in games with the main test pack as a whole and i personally think he has struggled. if you look at my very early postings pre tour i he was my first choice but he seems to have been below par. back has been there and done it against everyone he has ever played against at every level. williams seems to give a hell of a lot of penalties away and i think back is a bit more streetwise. i have a theory on the lewsey thing which england have used before - when defending lewsey is on the wing and in attack he is fullback. nz left winger is the FIJIAN!!!! :-) sivivatu who is their most dangerous back. lewsey is our best dfefensive back so not a bad plan to have him up against siv in defense. i do agree robinson shouldnt be on the pitch - but would have him on the bench. i would start with s williams at left wing. | crammy
23/6/2005 15:59 | PS Crammy it's not just the Welsh either take a look at the right hounorable no less! So Mkearns what's the NZ take on the side picked!? | zzbrook
23/6/2005 15:51 | LOL crammy! wouldn't mind seeing that fight! It's hensons fault any way going all religious on us! In and out of church all the times gonna do no mans performance any good! Not sure about the williams _ back bit though! williams has played 4 hard games where back has only played once against a weaker pack! can't fail to play well which he did! But if your going down the backs line why isn't Lewsy playing full back where he's shown he can play outstandingly! robinson shouldn't be on the pitch at all not even on the bench! Yes he is amazing when he's on form but hasn't shown that all through the six nations! so how's he gonna do it now especially at his worst position? | zzbrook
23/6/2005 15:50 | crammy I think wal was referring to Peter P being a northern git. | mkearns
