I agree todays news is very positive. An earnings enhancing deal and a subscription by a major investor at 15% above the closing share price. I get the feeling that todays news is just the start of a number of contract wins. They now have 7m+ in cash as well. Does seem to have been an overhang which has yet to fully clear though.

It is a little difficult to figure out whats going on with LGT with no adjusted EPS figures. Daniel Stewarts helpful broker note clarified things for me and made me realise how undervalued LGT is compared to its peers. Its revenue per advisor lags its rivals which suggests it has plenty of scope to improve its operational performance and therefore its profitability. I think there was an overhang on the stock which has now cleared with some lumpy trades having gone through yesterday and today. Hopefully it should be onwards and upwards once it gets on others radar screens.

Do you know if they have been talking to T1ps.com? Im a subscriber and no mention has been made of them as far as im aware. I also know TW talks to a lot of companies that he doesn't eventually go onto tip on his site. Hopefully he will with LGT if indeed he has been in contact with them.

It seems to have been somewhat overlooked. The results were pretty decent. Forecasts for next year put the shares on a p/e of 7 and for 2008 a p/e of 6. It has 6 million in cash and the nature of business will dictate most of the profits will convert into cash. It has tax losses to cover itself for the next few years. The business itself is doing very well and the recurring revenue streams make the business model far more stable than in the past. At current levels its a steal compared to its rivals in the sector such as Sumus and Cavanagh. As the sector is undergoing a lot of M and A I would be suprised if LGT is involved either as the hunter or the hunted.

Heres a link to the updated Daniel Stewart broker note post results.

Lighthouse Group PLC posted a narrower full-year pretax loss
and said trading since the year-end has been in line with expectations.
The financial services company reported a pretax loss of 213,655 stg
compared with 504,420 stg a year ago on record levels of turnover, especially in
the latter half of 2006.
The company posted turnover for the year ended December 2006 of 47.2 mln stg
against 32.6 mln stg a year earlier.
Lighthouse said it intends to start paying dividends as soon as practicable
and that it is working to reduce the deficiency in its distributable reserves
now that it is profitable.
Results for 2005 have been restated.

This share seems to bounce about for no apparent reason. I hold but only on a strong recommendation, I know little about the Co', why does it bounce about so much?
