Socktrade, I cannot believe you have invested £14000 into leyshon yet have no understanding of what is going on. I admit, I'm no pro at this game but I was asking these questions last month, not the day of the split. You have more money than sense it seems.

prored 23 managed to sell 125k at 8.8c last night on Asx what a result he had.

It seems lrl is going to get dumped on 23rd January judging by what I am reading on here. I can't envisage lrl resting on its laurels post 23rd January. It will be richer than most small aim miners

record date is the date that they look at the share register. Not the date that you must have held the shares on! Of course you will get the shares as long as you held them yesterday! aimho

OF COURSE YOU WILL STILL GET THE NEW SHARES IN LEYSHON ENERGY IF YOU SELL YOUR LRL SHARES TODAY. ANYBODY WHO HELD LRL SHARES YESTERDAY WILL GET THE NEW LEYSHON ENERGY SHARES WHICH LIST ON AIM ON THE 23RD JANUARY. IF YOU HELD 1000 LRL SHARES YESTERDAY YOU WILL RECEIVE 1000 LEYSHON ENERGY SHARES.

HOWEVER ANYBODY WHO BUYS LRL SHARES TODAY WILL NOT GET THE NEW LEYSHON ENERGY SHARES.

READ THE LRL RNS DATED 9th DECEMBER. IT'S VERY EASY TO UNDERSTAND. IT AIN'T ROCKET SCIENCE!!!!

Don't know for sure but I wouldn't risk it . Why give a record date if it Is pointless . Re dividends you have the ex div date then you have your record date . If you sell after the ex div date but before the record date you are not entitled to the dividend (or in this case new shares in LEL!?) but I may be wrong

What's the record date for ? In relation to dividends you need to hold shares until this date to be eligible

Useless - apologies (so they did). Not sure why I didn't get the email alert for it.

I've no trouble with holding both, I'm thinking LEL will be the more significant of the two and I imagine they have rolled of LRL ready to push LEL as a new company (and BoD) moving forward. Be interesting to see how it develops.

Pro forma balance sheet in the demerger doc is 3m usd but 1.6m in payables as at 30th sept. Real cash backing is likely 1m to 1.4m, USD 4 months later, I.e. now! Dyor
