Looks like this is going to start moving northwards now that XMAS is out of the way.

I see this going to at least new highs of 650p by easter and possibly 750 if the lambing season produces the right lamb.

Once the results are released over the next couple of weeks then they will start to rise so get in now before it's too late.

Have you heard anything about the new baby lamb coming in the spring or early summer.

Nice letter from JW by the way - it has made me smile this Xmas.

Fair enough - but I think you know who I mean. I found out from a big cheese named Robert (RW). I am not about to name names on this BB, but I CAN say that LVL seem to be doing ok, from what I hear.

UBT

Why not - if their is to be a new born lamb in the spring wouldn't it be a good thing to introduce your own tyre, exhaust and brake business into the 'PLC' brand.

As anyone heard how the 'BT' & 'CONSIGNA' sourcing deals are going heard from a friend that it is now at the bidding stage.

I do not actually "hold" the shares, I simply have an option to buy them at a fixed price.

Satisfied?

What a beautiful and bright morning this is today.

Lex Services up another 2.5% this morning......I wonder what has caused the mm's to mark these up nearly 10% these last couple of days after bringing them down for the past 3 weeks.

Have they heard something that investors are not aware of or what.

Still looking forward to the new lambs in the spring.

Publicity is one thing, profits are another Paul.

These look to be slipping sub £5 for the moment unfortunately.

Well as they say in politics 'a week is a long time' - well in Lex's case a moth is a long time, as was looking forward to making a good return on my options this Monday but it looks like there has been a selling sprey of late and people cashing in on profits.

So do I wait or still cash in come Monday morning - well we shall have to wait and see.

There are a couple of rumours flying around at present concerning 'Godreys' the leasing arm of Bank of Scotland which Halifax has now control off, so with 50% ownership of LVL it means that halifax as now got to make a decision in what to do - merger of the two fleets looks the most likely but there hasn't been any word on this.

What I can't understand is the great publicity Lex gets through the trade press but very really gets and news paper coverage as far as the city goes.

Never eh.

ADYOR

p.s.

The Spring could see the birth of a new lamb!

I have been watching these for a while now, they bounced straight back after 11th September, Lex seem to be delivering a good strong strategy based business.
Make no mistake, this is no "ten bagger", but the dividend has just gone up and the management seem clued up. DYOR as usual.

The interims tell me there is more to come :

Lex Service PLC said in its results for the six months ended
June 30 that it expected the growth in RAC's revenue base to benefit its
profitability in the second half.
Lex added that this, together with the acquisition of RAC Auto Windscreens
and the continued success in winning substantial vehicle outsourcing contracts,
provides a strong platform for profit growth.
In its results, Lex said its pretax profit for the period rose to 43.4 mln
stg from 19.3 mln in the same period a year earlier off turnover which fell to
706.4 mln stg from 845.9 mln.
Earnings per share rose to 30.5 pence from 10.4 pence last year and the
company said it intended to increase its dividend by 5 pct to 8.8 pence per
share from 8.4 pence.
Lex said that, during the period, it had successfully implemented the 500
mln stg Ministry of Defence "White Fleet" contract and that its balance sheet
had been strengthened by 46 mln stg which proceeded from the sale of its stake
in Synnex.
