VS should be looking to take out someone like Linnworks.com to spread across the smaller business market. Would be a good fit imho.

techtrend April 2017

"Agreed, plus if VS can succeed with the NHS where so many have failed it will be a massive validation of their tech and should open the door to big US corp contracts IMO"

I hope so techtrend.

And before I get accused of implying negativity, I massively support VS acting this way and not charging the NHS.

Just as a reminder for those who don't know how VS operate and are wondering if the recent talk of NHS money for new tech is relevant.

VS charge the supplier not the user. So when a minister says they will spend loads on new tech for the NHS, this does not mean Edge4Health.

Here is the website for Edge4Health.

Heres the gov.uk site for it showing fees

And here is the NHS SBS section outlining how it operates.

"Connecting NHS buyers with suppliers

During 2018 NHS Shared Business Services, in partnership with leading technology company Virtualstock, is set to launch a new eMarketplace, The Edge4Health, to the NHS - at no cost at all!

That's right; technology designed to retail ecommerce best practice will be free for all NHS organisations to use, fundamentally improving how products are bought and paid. What's more, The Edge4Health is a fully mobile solution that enables requisitioning, approval and receipting on the go. Goodbye desktop, hello 21st century!"

Agree VS's website is pretty poor... but I imagine that will be sorted with the re-brand

RTIH: What can we expect to see from Virtualstock over the next 12 months?

EB: Virtualstock is growing fast on several fronts and the team has already grown from 20 to 110 employees over the last two years. This year, we envision accelerated growth in retail, in part thanks to our strategic partnerships with IBM and Wincanton – both within the UK and internationally. Indeed, Virtualstock is due to open a New York office this summer and we’re already in discussions with a number of US retailers. We’re also in advanced conversations with our first (leading) German retailer.

On the healthcare side, we expect that our partnership with NHS SBS will see the adoption of The Edge across a further 60 NHS trusts. In addition, we will continue to develop and innovate our platform with some major features coming out for our clients which will largely focus on market data and reporting, to coincide with a rebrand. So, there are exciting times ahead and, as founder, I feel utterly privileged to be part of such an original and dynamic team. I am deeply proud of where we have come from and look forward to what’s next.

This link puts the two appointments neatly together;interestingly and possibly favourable to VS is the fact that they are Schuster's only two Directorships.

Well done Soup, keep up the good work.

Can I ask you a favour, can you work your magic and find some details on which Rene Hanns SCHUSTER VS appointed?

Some people keep telling me he is 'one of the highest rated technology leaders in Europe but companies house doesn't really back that up.

If you go to the link below and put his name into search, its shows him as being a director of VS and a company, that keeps children safe whilst on the net and is called SafeToNet Ltd.

I looked him up when VS announced his appointment and Google, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc led me nowhere. Companies house say he is 57, German born and I believe he currently lives in GB. Id like to think he is the world beater some folk think he is or maybe just a direct link to VS opening in Germany, either way would be good.

Cheers GLA
