22/8/2024 10:42 | Do shares have to be actually cleared in your account (ie. T+2) on ex-divi day, to be entitled to the divi? | cyberbub
22/8/2024 08:39 | Thank you ! | panache1
22/8/2024 07:58 | Which is relevant as add the yield on this divi to the share price move to get the actual market movement | williamcooper104
22/8/2024 07:46 | CWA1 Forget Stockopedia The dividend for 2024 will be 21.35pps and for 2025 +2% at 21.775pps | 1robbob
22/8/2024 07:46 | Yes if you stay invested on Ex-divi date you receive the next payment. The final dividend has not yet been declared, but should be 15,34p if they follow the expected plan | tornado12
22/8/2024 07:40 | Thanks and am I right in thinking of if I buy more today I will be entitled to 14p divi post April next year ? | panache1
22/8/2024 07:29 | @9.02% on current numbers. | skinny
22/8/2024 07:27 | I think nc was asking what the yield of THIS(ie 6p) dividend was, rather than the overall dividend yield for the year | cwa1
22/8/2024 07:25 | So yield is way more than 2.6%, it's more like 9-10% | markth126
22/8/2024 07:18 | FWIW the current forecast dividend is 21.3p for '24 and 21.9p for '25 according to Stockopedia | cwa1
22/8/2024 07:18 | Its OK I've got it-ish - 2.6% (divi yield) | netcurtains
22/8/2024 07:08 | When I feel its bottomed out I might buy more... Perhaps this is the bottom... Whats this yield percent of this dividend? Thanks | netcurtains
22/8/2024 06:57 | Assume the brace position ;-) 6p XD this morning, with pay day being 27th September | cwa1
22/8/2024 06:23 | I expect the minimum 6p drop today.. | tornado12
22/8/2024 05:51 | Ex div today? Are we expecting a drop of say 6p? | panache1
21/8/2024 11:31 | But think of the opportunity for me if it does, 50% yield when I buy in then. | m12rtn
21/8/2024 09:53 | Not if the share price falls by 64%. | southwinds
21/8/2024 05:47 | FTSE 100 is a lemming to US and that I dont see it changing. Is very frustrating, but for dividend seekers, is like the golden egg as these players are increasing revenues, margins and dividends with a stagnant share price As I am an avid divi re-investor, then my annual income pot keeps on growing by 10%.. & in 5 years from now.. a 64% compounded increase without any new capital in play... Unfortunately like watching paint dry, but the medium term rewards are more than acceptable to me.. GLA | tornado12
21/8/2024 05:17 | Morning all Bit unlucky yesterday was hoping to get hit at 229 but came to little to late so have let it lapse. Will watch to see how the price fares today but no appetite Market very disappointing FOMO rules or doesn't t Be safe have a good one everyone | jubberjim
20/8/2024 15:59 | Ftse dire again, blame lies with the ftse constituents and stodge like L&G. All looking across the pond for direction. After a good run on wall street Ftse first in line to get the jitters and hammered. L&G an obvious casualty IMO | vickiitwo2
20/8/2024 11:31 | Strong £ again with the FTSE | dope007
20/8/2024 10:11 | I have a question ? Is there any correlation between the various Regulatory Bodies and the impact they have on the wider market with their declarations. OFCOM and their latest decision springs to mind. BT.A share price has fallen again this morning which I am beginning to believe has impacted across most of the investment companies ,Insurers and Banks who I would think have to have substantial holdings in said company as a (FTSE 100 constituent) It was a similar situation with Diageo when they announced the hit they were taking from the slowdown in South America and elsewhere. I fully expected LGEN to continue its stuttering upwards trajectory so am at a complete and utter loss as to why most shares are under the cosh especially with the dividends on offer. Is a thought and I would welcome any views by those wiser? heads than mine. I think BT.A suffers more than most due to the shortsightedness of OFCOM as do other good British companies who then can be picked up by the parisitic hedge funds and their ilk. Off topic ? hence posting here | jubberjim
18/8/2024 08:02 | 1robrob As you point out the appointment of Amanda Blanc seems to have acted as a catalyst for the share price at Aviva but after the previous incumbent Maurice Tulloch had made a complete and utter shambles of the whole thing by axing the dividend. Still not happy with the fact that that cancelled dividend was never paid but apart from that she has done a stellar job to date. As long as the dividend is paid I will continue to hold but this new person should make a note of events that took place and go very carefully. So far it seems the market remains unimpressed but will be looking to add here on any significant dips and similarly at ABDN . Time will tell x dividend 22/08 so might look again after that but no rush Good luck | jubberjim
17/8/2024 07:17 | If you look at the 2014 to 2024 graph we appear to be a bit low (price wise) but we live in very uncertain times (Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan) so possibly about right but for me with a short term target of about 240-245? | netcurtains
16/8/2024 16:08 | Did you work for them marksp? I worked from about 1979 to 1983/4 but continued working alongside them as a contractor for several more years after that. | mcunliffe1 |
