Does anyone really care about thumbs up/down? Not sure what the dispute would be, but I’ve always found EJ to be worth reading.

I'm not sure. He was blaming a different poster and i dont really want to get involved here naming names etc without the background. I have the poster on filter so dont know the nature of the dispute

From yesterday's FT Alphaville:

[Bank of America] upgrade Legal & General to Buy from Neutral as the stock has fallen 16% from its peak on 9th June (at which point we took a more cautious stance on the sector). Further, it has underperformed the sector by around 10% over this period. We now see 33% total return potential despite trimming our sum-of-the-parts based price objective to 265p from 270p to reflect recent debt issuance........

milliethedog - on the back of GREATPEPE's post, you may wish to take a look at Smithson Investment Trust (SSON). It's an investment trust from the Fundsmith family. Launched in Oct 2018 at £10.20 per share it adopts the same strategy as the Fundsmith Equity fund but focuses on Medium size companies. Currently at £14.90 per share. Not advice just information for you to investigate if you wish.

milliethedog..along with the other funds you were given

not a fund but an investment trust which i am invested is
SMT (Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust)..its in the FTSE 100 so trades like an equity .
The problem is it has had a big rise recently on the back of Amazon and Tesla(and others).
It also holds quite a few unlisted securities but worth a read up on if you are researching funds, but you have to pay the stamp on it when buying.
