Loads of small selling today but the price hasn't moved much, in fact the offer seems to have gone up so perhaps there is a buyer waiting?

If there is some bad news to come I wonder what it could be. Hopefully not another bad debt at Leeds Leasing.

Or maybe the U.K. Dyeing division has died and they won't get to cash in those loan notes.

Just have to wait and see I guess.

Not quite as bad as it seems?

CHESIL356 - 1 Oct'03 - 22:02 - 105 of 115 edit

Just to expand a bit on what langland said as i see it.If an investor was to have bought back in may at 35p and held the share they would have recieved a special dividend of 13p for every share they owned .After the special divedend was paid the share price would have been reduced imediatly(as it did)to reflect the new value of the company so to get a fair comparrission between now and then you need to add 13p to todays price, to not do so is mis-leading.IMO

stefield.
pg liked 'yor' . they then collapsed !!!!

trouble is that ldsg has consistently given
bad news these past few years whether it be employee
fraud[4m], problems divesting of its textile bizneses
or now the 'new core growth leasing bizness'
experiencing problems. something all ways
seems to be going wrong with this company !!!
caveat emptor

The sad thing with TW's tip is that Leeds was a really good investment about a year ago when you could have bought for 14p and got the 13p special dividend. TW is way way way behind the game on this one.

Just a thought!
Nice "tip" in May to receive special divi,
then immediately sell shares before fall.
I don't know if that would have been possible though!
As above, "Just a thought"!

Doesn't seem to mention it in the latest tip (Which is reproduced in the BB header) which is a bit misleading in my opinion.

Chesil & langland,
Thanks for that!
I was unaware of the special divi pay out.
Was it mentioned in all the blurb from TW?
I do not hold shares in Leeds Group.

CHESIL - your right funny how they forgot to mention that point so the share looks like a big recovery play..

Incredible the misinformation on this thread. Denimag, the shares were mid 30's in May and are now ex the capital return. So, if you want to compare the price now to the price then, add 13p to the current price. Royal TRader, if the year end is 30 Sep, how can the results be out tomorrow? Anyone else got some stupid points to make?
