Bought 1000 today at c.660p. Went back for more but quoted 679p. Will probably regret not buying the later batch up when I look back. Seems very forgotten by the market.

looks as though their hedges may have run out and their margins may be squeezed; on the other hand the rise in bond yields will reduce the pension deficit and I'm told they have a rock-solid balance sheet.

is the level of housebuilding the best proxy for Lthm business activity? or is the type of timber they deal in more specialised?
do they offer next day delivery in awkward places like wales and cornwall as well as the rest of the country as some of their competitors do?
anyone think that the 40p fall on opening was about the right reaction to the figures today in the context of the level of the market generally and the susequent collapse to 830 was all about stop-losses being triggered?

looks as though figures are due on Thursday
according to The Times, today, HM Treasury and the Tories are still looking to restrict BPR for iht; any restriction would be bad for small family firms such as Latham and a whole host of others on Aim and Nex; hasn't Latham been a family firm for several centuries?
