SP Angle morning note comment on gold today:

Gold holds higher ground following 15% rally on weaker economic data pressuring the Dollar

• Gold has held ground around the $1,880/oz mark, having climbed over $250/oz over the past three months.
• The dollar failed to move higher amid a non-farm payroll beat last week, with the index sliding back to 4-month lows around the 103 mark, boosting gold’s rally.
• Traders continue to bet on a Federal Reserve pivot, with US Treasury yields falling as bond buyers step in in anticipation of more dovish policy to stave off a recession.
• Despite the recent rally, Gold ETFs have been steady sellers, with traders likely taking profits. Gold ETFs sold $60m worth of physical in trading yesterday.
• Central Banks have been a major driver in gold’s recent rise. CBs bought 400t in Q3-2022 alone – their average gold demand has been 500t per year since 2008.
• China and Russia are both boosting reserves amid geopolitical tensions in and America’s weaponization of the Dollar following Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.

SB1976 As far as im concerned it is negative, if he had invested it would have been a vote of confidence and positive.
Sprott would be fully aware how undervalued LND compared to its assets
dweedle dee and dweedle dum at the helm may have been a strong reason not to?

JH - and are you aware of the reason for him not to?

Could have been a host of reasons for him not to, you're trying (once again) to post a negative slant.

jmr Gold worth remembering Sprott LNDs most significant, influencing investors opted not to invest more money into LND at 20p.

Why wouldn't you pile in at this current mcap? Only thing that annoys me here is comms from the company. If you're in the telegram group you will know what's going on, that's my only gripe here.

I see another bloomberg screenshot on Telegram updated to 23/12/2022. Not a single large holder, Canaccord funds, Canaccord wealth management, Sprott, Acronas sold a single share. Lets see what news brings. Lithium sale and board changes then this has every chance of an outstanding 2023.

highlight a stock which has 100% certainty JH

Let's see what the SR update contains, what they get for the lithium resource and their plans for those funds...hopefully to be released next week.

Why would you pile into this company when there's so much uncertainty. BOD needs to be replaced before sentiment can turn positive.

SP Angel morning note comment

Gold hits 7-month high on bets upcoming jobs data will signal recession and easier Fed stance

• Gold pushed through $1,863/oz this morning, up 14% from early November lows, now up 2.6% over the past 12 months.
• A combination of safe haven demand and bets on more accommodative Fed policy may be driving demand for bullion.
• Despite gold’s rapid rise over the past month, gold ETFs have actually sold bullion, suggesting funds are inflowing from either central banks or algorithmic traders.
• The dollar, which was one of gold’s primary tailwinds in Q4-2022, has held its lower levels against a basket of currencies.
• Traders may be betting on US jobs data due this week providing signs of easing wage pressure, with the US’ hot labour market a primary driver of current inflation and enabling Powell’s stratospheric rate increases last year.
• US 10-year yields have failed to sustain their rally through December, easing 20bp since the turn of the new year. Higher yields pressure gold prices.

I(F gold can, over the next few months get and stay over $2000 then we should see a significant re-rate here and imo we would then be getting offers coming forward too, purely based on the NPV for the current 1.5Moz

At $1800 it is $333
At $1960 (10% incr)...it is $443mln and

At $2150 it is $550mln.

Then add on say a further 500k oz from the spring/summer drills, Lamaune gold too and we really do start to be looking at fair value being in excess of a 10-15x return for buyers sub 20p

Very similar to the FCM fire sale yesterday. Both companies have a lot of similar shareholders. Would not be surprised if they are connected. Holding up reasonably well though so far. Looking forward to the updates next week.

Who knows.

Update next week on SR and the lithium deal should settle back end of next week too...which would provide funds for this year

Storm financing complete for Miminiska payments - so $250k due on 24th Jan and a further $750k over July'23 adn next Jan in addition to a further $1.5mln in convertible cash

Talks with potential buyers are continuing even though SR has ended...these chats etc are fluid and ongoing...the rally in gold certainly helping here, and nickel back at $30,000/tonne provides excellent additional resource value.
Gold over $1800 brings back the validity of the NPV...the project has a high sensitivity to it...10% incr in gold results in a 30% NPV increase

Gold is absolutely ripping and we're days away from some news. Yet, we have holders selling? Absolute madness IMHO.
