From another board.BwanaMakubwa 405 postsThe future is social mediaMary gets this as does Lord Alli.Mary spends half the year in India and Robert Bready a bit less, but he too is a regular visitor. The point being,as Putney lad states, they not only get the power of social media, especially in the 16-35 year old market, but they also get India.Demonitisation hit Koovs far less than its competition-that was no fluke.

With Mary Turner stating that Koovs has over 2 million social media followers......

The future of e-commerce is social. According to various studies, its quite clear that 2016 witnessed an increase in sales through social. Its estimated that around $50 billion sale was generated using social networks with an increase of $20 billion from the previous year.

The social shopping experience is set to become bigger and better due to the burgeoning number of social media users, easy ways to initiate purchases from brand pages, and users having the option to get instant purchase suggestions from their friends.

FundraisingFrom 22nd Dec InterimsAt 30 September 2016, including both short- and long-term deposits, the business had access to INR 667.9m / GBP7.7m (30 September 2015: INR 568.6m /GBP5.6m) for the purposes of funding the business. The funds are held in term deposits or current accounts, mainly in India. Additionally, GBP3.2m (INR 291m) of marketing funds have been prepaid to secure significantly reduced media rates, and been recorded in the Statement of Financial Position under "Trade receivables, other receivables, prepayments and other assets".Since 30 September 2016, a further GBP12.9m was raised. So just over £20 million from 1st Nov.Previous cash burn states this will last about 15 months, so I expect fundraising this winter.Lord Alli stated in Forbes magazine a few weeks ago "We'll take money when we need it. Not a penny before that because if we do that, that money is expensive"From that statement alone, he's hoping for a fundraise at a premium to the current price.

There's a danger of hubris at KOOV, IMO, because of ASOS.

At the end of the day, growth means nothing if the finances don't stack up. As Nasty Gal found... :0)

Yes APAD, as they say: management, management, management!I have total faith in them. They answer all my questions, are transparent & most importantly, have plenty of shares/ options between them.Lord Alli himself has about 38 million shares- 22% of the company. That alone speaks volumes.
