Getting Priyaka Chopra on a koovs advert would be like boohoo getting Scarlett Johansson to prance around on one of their glossy TV ads. Koovs' celebrity engagement is gaining traction with a few big names like Alia Bhatt wearing their clothes and Sonakshi Sinha promoting them but maybe Priyanka Chopra is a bit unrealistic at this stage

In todays Daily Mail

Indian fashion retailer Koovs rose 1.7 per cent, or 0.75p, to 46.25p, after launching a pop art inspired range of clothes with Disney.

The collection is the first in a series of ranges set to be rolled out with the US giant this year.

It represents a reversal of fortunes for Koovs, which has been plagued by investors concerns over the demonetisation of the Indian currency despite recently reporting strong results.

Re: harebridge last posts on the other "censored" board with pictures of the celebs wearing the Disney collection.Is this what KOOVS are selling? Half painted Disney character on a white t-shirt?Maybe they are paying half royalty fee to Disney this way? I hope they are not paying a full one giving the negative margin. Btw anyone wonder who is going to pay the royalties for using Disney characters?

No code I am in the heart of south Mumbai. I have now seen a number of packed boxes with the koovs label. Seems stall holders and shops are btying direct from koovs.

Disney and Koovs collaborate to launch retro-cool 'Pop Art' fashion collection

thank you harebridge , just spent few hours reading the ASOS story from the begining to now ... hoping to top up next week with funds & KOOVS will be huge in 5/10 years down the line & people will be looking back saying they missed ASOS , BOOHOO and the other big player KOOVS ..

Jackson- they will definitely need funding by year end. The main worry now is a down round- where they raise money at a lower price then previously (50p). Interims in July will show better margins but also increased losses. They really need an outstanding trading update (April, May & June) to show that they have beaten demonetisation.

harebridge ? i topped up today as IMHO we could quite easily be above 50p soon , the only worry is do u think they will need fresh funds any time soon ? as last year we had an RNS on 13th April 2016 re capital raising , i originally bought into KOOVS when floated at £1.50p and held steady topping up at 78p 65p 47p 29p 11p & today at 45.50p
not worried as i think by 2019 onwards koovs will be just fine and will continue to top up on any dips before then .

A sensible post from elsewhereBoohoo comparisonIn 2011 Boohoo had revenue of £25.5m (Koovs just reported revenue of £18.6m) and an operating profit of just £0.18m. By 2016 they had revenue of £231.9m and an operating profit of £23.1m. Their share price has only gone from 36p to 176p in the last 18 mths so I think investors here need to be patient.
