Well that all depends why they are consolidating, I mean they are creating the headroom in order to issue new equity, and they even have 10,000,000 or so lined up to enter the market, at an inflated price to the underlying asset of course.

This will all end in tears.

Me personally, I see it as transformational news for the company and the share price will be going North on relisting, but each to their own. If your already invested here, you wouldn't be knocking the news and if your not invested, no need to get yourself worked up. The only people I can see being negative here are investors who have sold and will miss any future gains if the share price does take off (we've all been there and if your bitter you've earned the right to be, but your bitterness is not going to change the path of share price if this reverse takeover hits it targets)...gla, whatever your views..
Ps..people have said investors will be running for the doors and no new investors will want in, let's just see what updates we have before relisting first, before we start shooting this new venture down.

Hi,
Been watching Kibo from a far.

Share consolidation outcomes are mixed, I suspect Kibos real reasons are to drain further funds from the market.

I still can’t see a good reason to invest in Kibo, hopefully that changes.

Nonsensical? Coming from you?

Oh the irony.

Tosspot.

Well that’s certainly not the case with the providers that I’m aware of.

Either way it’s a moot point really isn’t it, even if that is the case it’s just supposition as to the actual reasons behind it.

The proof is in the pudding.

iaf

I am surprised there are sb outfits that allow holding minnows such as KIBO. As likes of ig forced closing of positions in like 1000 stocks which were not profitable to them!

But I think I can guess which one it is . Maybe their sister co were a broker of Kibo at one point?

its interesting that a certain spread bet company is allowing you to close your positions in kibo...maybe they know its going to come back alot higher after suspension

Well if you have a long spreadbet open and the share price rises you stand to gain if the price goes up, and lose if the price goes down, but similarly if you have a short spreadbet open the same applies but reversed, so your saying they are locking in the short positions and allowing the long positions to trade out?

It all becomes incredibly messy for the SB co when suspensions occur, especially when they are then being consolidated etc, though it’s a little foolhardy to have an open spreadbet long or short on a suspended stock as you still have to pay the upkeep.

Yaki more to the actual point what happens after the consolidation when the 10 squillion shares are allocated, so you really think they are going to hold on to them?

There’s a reason the consolidation is being arranged at the same time this huge amount of equity is being brought to market, and thats to facilitate offloading it?

Plus all the CLN, warrants etc.

Don’t be so naive.

Just to clarify, consolidation is just an accounting thing and shouldn't affect the value of the company. The pie is the same, whether you slice it in 10 or 100 pieces!

Apart from secondary factors such as liquidity, market perception etc.

The key is that KIBO is planning on issuing shares at 0.5p current money (5p if consol goes ahead) with price at suspension at 0.16p current money (1.6p if consol goes ahead).
0.5p is 3x last trade orice but is probably reasonable as NAV per share is c 1p, so 0.5p is half of that. Also we don't know what the valuation of the solar project is based on, too!

So if 0.5p is what the share price settles, then current holders can see 200% return from just before suspension!
And I understand there might be a few Africa focused renewal energy institutional investors who are keen on investing in Kibo on the back of this project. So can this go higher than 0.5p/5p?!? Quite possible, if those ii buy more in the open market!

But let's see how next few weeks pan out

Had a bit of a laugh reading some of the comments on the other side.
That BrickSA guy (South African?) must have a few loose bricks ...
eg,
" .05pence is half a pence…..which is .005"
I would say 0.05pence is 1/20th of a pence but why spoil it for the loose bricks guy

or even less controversial one
"0.5p is equal to .005 p"

Interesting take on maths, lol

BricksSA Mon 16:35

Lacuna….enough of your nonsense. .05pence is half a pence…..which is .005
You check your maths please…..and do your sums correctly…..and try your best to see through the tears.

BricksSA Mon 16:37

0.5p is equal to .005 p

Well either way any remaining TR1 investors certainly won’t be for much longer once it relists.

Those that haven’t already sold out that is.

Oh how we laughed.
