I wonder what the price monitoring exercise comes up with after a 29% increase?

Slightly puzzled as a $100m share investment would leave Oman with over 50% of the company so would they be required to make a takeover offer. How many billions of shares would KMR have if it comes to fruition and what would the existing holders be left with? Feel sorry for any longer term holders.

These shares are turning into Zimbabwe Dollar type values
where a trillion Z$ might get you a loaf of bread
after a cumulative 500 billion % inflation (up to & in 2009).

Btw, China introducing the yuan into Zim & w/off $40M of debt at y/e,
a kind of "entrance fee" to share space with US$ & SA Rand.
They might also want the huge ilmenite resource in that little country next door.....
A pitance for the pit, IMO.
This might be the third & last "Blarney-yarn" from Kenmare after Congolene & Ancuabe in the '80s & '90s...

As the company has stated already they are raising funds.Does any one have any guess at what price this will be at??

My thoughts are between .001 and .05p.

Any one have any other thoughts?

I have no position at the moment-just thinking about it right now.

Strange one this... Firstly, Why would the Pru not take the 2p offer? and rather see their investment worthless?.

Secondly, very surprised other II's have not been vocal on this as they are now writing off their holdings rather than seeing a return of some kind.

Then on the other hand the offer made was very demising, makes you wonder what Iluka's real intentions were/are. Without a shadow of a doubt a class mining asset with 100yrs long life. Yes the commodity prices have dropped like a stone however in a years time that maybe a different game.

Thirdly, what is the point for the Oman (SGRF) group investing $100m (£66m) when they could buy the lot for the same, infact the amount which is being mentioned ($100m) would be a better offer than Iluka's which was £50m for the equity. Iluka was arranging for the debt just being rolled over on better terms for themselves..so the Oman group are actually making a better offer with their $100m proposal alone.

Apart from the Pru's 20% holding,,how they will get the remainder 80% shareholder support... and what would they be supporting in any event?....a total loss of equity.. Crazy going on's here!, unless they are/were expecting the share price to rise to the 2p level following the RNS's..

Haven't you forgotten the intermediate action of the bank loans being converted to equity, totally diluting all existing shareholders?
