I was looking for a use that, I don't have already. That use will surely determine it's shelf life in the long term. Gold for example jewellery or use on electronics. Or indeed you can probably use gold to buy things, I don't know I use time tested cash and cards for that.

Tivoli that is NOT the way to make money in crypto. To make your own listed token it'll cost you around 50k in listing fees minimum for starters and subject to standard FCA regulations. You can legally make your own token in exchange for your own goods and services though.

The payment systems and adoption are under roll out. Just buy when cheap and hold it. Think of the kids and grand kids..they are the ones who will especially thank you that you did. Still v early.Of course never put everything into one vehicle. That's also madness and diversification is v under rated but my GSK 3% Divis are a little boring but I still have them. You have to have that diversification imvho

What do you guys use crypto for? I'd be more interested in buying it, if I'd got a use for it that I haven't currently got access to through cash, cards, PayPal etc

Same as shares and fiat currency then. Except there's no rehypothecation on cryptos and it's unlimited on the former.

Ta,

Careful now. You know what they say - "Pride comes before a fall", I have no idea what the future may hold. I just do the best I can to anticipate it.

Well I hope your son gets his talents from you. As we need KEFI to go up, and I have sacrificed a lot of my gems to get £5,000 on KEFI shares last week.

Surely there's a bitcoin board available?

YES, I am a grumpy old man!

That said, my son, who is eighteen, is doing very well trading Doge and Ether...a budding chartist;)

I suggest people considering investing, or who are investing, in Kefi, read and digest this post copied from the JLP BB. The Copper reserves found in SA would seem to be extremely important.

The best way to make money out of cryptocurrency is to make your own one using the name of your local football team. It only costs around 2 to 5k to do this. Like for me i would make the Swansea city football club Bitcoin. Then I have all their fans biting into it. I do not think there are any rules with Bitcoin, so they couldn't sue me for taking their name.

PensionPlanner like it or not the whole world is in lockstep with linking digital currencies to your digital ID (Vaccine Passports). All part of the Great Reset! All these independent nations all planning the same thing at the same time, strange that!!!

As to the future of bitcoin, who knows, maybe it was a pre-cursor to see if the concept will work before being replaced with a new world bitcoin being controlled by the cabal.

The problem is what are you actually buying. Worse than a gold Comex deal, without the paper.

These cryptocurrencies or really virtual currencies are worse than sovereign fiat capital, and will in the medium to long term disappear in a tulip mania type event, but where at least with tulip mania you had a bulb!

Even the blockchain is no guarantee for the future with quantum computing, and its very likely the concept will be usurped by sovereign nations who will also legislate against existing cryptocurrencies to enforce population buying effectively another fiat currency on line.

We are seeing that already with China and Western governments following suit, as they like the idea of a currency out of nothing, as the West and in particularly the dollar has been doing it for years, hence the attacks on gold and silver price and now the emerging attacks on non sovereign crypto currencies that may challenge governments.

More and more regulation is likely to emerge throughout the world, as governments decide that cryptocurrency is so bad that only they should be allowed to use it and regulate it!

If you've done well on Bitcoin or the like, well done, but its more akin to crypto musical chairs with eventually many people being left with no value.

Bitcoin is finished in my opinion. That combined with the Covid and inflation will give KEFI and MTL a huge rerating. As gold is now in a massive bull run cycle.
