That said do I believe the Ethiopians want local investors to invest and this is one of the reasons we are not yet closed (yes) and so I believe the central government may be stalling to May or June to announce good news on investment and jobs before the election (yes)....time will tell I guess

Of course they will and then they will do as well as Cuba or Venezuela has done over the last 50 years...only really stupid governments nationalise private companies & not those that want foreign investments...do some research.....for all its faults Ethiopia has been and is one of the worlds fastest growing economies...I'm not happy with the slow progress but keep it real ffs.

The next part mentions “mining contractor to invest in KEFI shares”. I’ve not checked back through to see if this is new, someone else may know. I’m not sure when they would start doing this? But as I’ve mentioned before, I’ve known shares trade sideways for months and whilst everyone is bored, frustrated, scared, impatient, someone fills their boots. I’ve not personally experienced a big buyer in the background who has driven the price upwards, shooting themselves in the foot whilst doing so.

@richie - that is a fair point. Well spotted. Personally, these RNS's have proven to be so inaccurate that I don't think it's possible to determine anything meaningful from them anymore. But well played for going through it with a fine tooth comb.

October’ RNS

“The Company has entered into two non-binding term sheets for a combined minimum of US$40 million of investment with the Ethiopian division of a global industrial company ("Local Investor"), which is listed on the London Stock Exchange with a market capitalisation exceeding GBP1 billion and also with one of the world's leading commodity trading companies”

Today’s RNS

“the KEFI contribution funded by subordinated debt from the Ethiopian subsidiary of likely more than one multinational industrial group and product offtake-linked subordinated finance (for working capital and for a standby) from an international metals trader”

Am I right in saying that another multinational company might be contributing?

Harry is an Australian, why would he want to live in Ethiopia? It's surely a disappointing day for investors, especially for long termers, but offer some respect to those who still consider this will come good. Can kicked down the road again true, but its still very speculative that this will never come good, against the unfolding compelling story.

What will probably happen is Harry will do the donkey work, the EG will pull the license from Kefi and Harry will be given a job there and drop Kefi and is shareholder's like a stone, why are they going to let a two bit outfit like Kefi walk away with the spoils??

Spot on goatherd. I understand that there is a trust issue with some here but I'm not one of them. If I thought so I would have sold up and been long gone. Instead I took the opportunity to buy more this morning. We're so very close to the prize now imo and I believe Harry will get this over the line.
