16/3/2020 16:01 | Just taking a look at Ethiopian news apparently they have four or five cases but three or 4 of them are from Japan so it's not actually really hit big in Ethiopia yet but the climate apparently should hold it back so the warmer it gets the harder for the virus to survive it does look like the prime minister has taken early action | 1deedee
16/3/2020 15:41 | Nothing really to do with Kefi, but I was thinking of the future effects of this and posted this on another thread. The ramifications of this calamity may affect people's lives for a long time. 'The Pension Funds will have been very badly hit by recent developments, and I feel very sorry for anyone that is on a money purchase scheme, and is obliged to start drawing on their personal fund over the next few months' | scrappycat

16/3/2020 14:03 | rob, Hopefully, it is the top UK scientists who are thinking about the virus, and that they know what they are doing. IMO, it is sensible of Boris to take their advice. Either way he faces criticism. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. I seem to remember another occasion when the Government ignored the advice of the masses, and that was with regard to Churchill's stance at the outbreak of the 2nd World War. But for that decision, who knows where the world would be now - virus, or no virus. | scrappycat
16/3/2020 12:22 | space_bob, I disagree with virtually all you have posted, but no matter, you are entitled, as always, to your opinion. | scrappycat
16/3/2020 11:43 | taxlosstone 29 Feb '20 - 15:27 - 2267 of 2762 You have never forgiven me for gloating over my superior investing skills. ;-) Last week was ugly but I am trying to stay sanguine (whatever that means) & convince myself that at the beginning of the week Kefi had to “only” double for me to break even. By the end of the week it “only” had to triple. I remember reading this and wondering if newer holders would some day say the same!! | outlawinvestor
16/3/2020 11:27 | space_bob, The Saudis are awash with cash, it is not investment they seek, surely, it is mining expertise. They are seeking to broaden their horizons, for when the inevitable use of oil fades into relative oblivion. IMO, that is the main reason for them dropping the price of oil recently. They are seeking to offload a significant proportion of their vast reserves before green technology rules the roost. | scrappycat

16/3/2020 11:21 | So both wrists AND Jugular slashed on the Kefi share price Best idea would be to let it bleed out on the floor. Probably won't shut up Harry's Fan Club, as according to some of his supporters on here, he can do no wrong. At least his skin in the game will end on a par with everyone else as worthless. I'll be interested to see his next venture. I won't be investing there but I sure as hell am going to be posting on the BB's of said venture, to ensure his legacy of delivering shareholder value (/s) doesn't fade into obscurity. | cybaajak
16/3/2020 11:17 | Its expertise they want to bring in historically the Saudi have hardily been short of money which is the prime reason why the mining sector has not been a priority previously. | robjm66
16/3/2020 11:06 | Outside companies are already there, it's investment they want to bring in. | space_bob
16/3/2020 11:03 | "Going forward, it has tremendous growth opportunities in line with Saudi Vision 2030's goal to have "a mining sector contributing to the national economy at full potential"." From you own link its a admission that the mining sector is not contributing at its full potential but there are growth opportunities. | robjm66
16/3/2020 10:59 | Space Bob those that have been here for a while already know about Maaden as does harry he even mentioned it as being one of the few significant miners in the country, mining sector still very small compared to what it should be. Saudis know that which is why they are totally overhauling the mining sector bringing in new rules and wanting to bring in outside companies. | robjm66
16/3/2020 10:51 | hxxps://www.maaden.c hxxps://investsaudi. It's a pretty big sector and they're already mining the Nubian shield, whatever BS Harry spouts about first mover advantage. Their push is to bring in foreign investment. Wonder how much Harry can offer the Saudi royals. | space_bob
16/3/2020 10:47 | Another factor for the KSA is the oil price is likely to be low for years now and they are going to need to replace that income. | robjm66
16/3/2020 10:34 | kSA does not have a large mining sector especially compared to the potential of the Arabian Nubian shield. Country been shaking up the mining rules specifically to alter that one of the consequences of that has been Hawiah becoming active again and the possibility of Jibal Qutman coming out of storage. | robjm66
16/3/2020 10:30 | Kefi could be in a better position than a lot of companies as the Ethiopian's and Saudi Arabians have an interest in the company being a success could be a lot worse kefi could be depending on international banks again. | robjm66 |
