I still hold, but with less than half my original holding. Not convinced there'll be a third offer. Happy if there is though.

New Investor’s Champion blog:

Are we on the verge of a new commodity super cycle, including gold and silver copper and nickel and lithium and platinum prices? These companies could see spectacular gains. Blog includes KAZ.

Full year results are due 25th February.. They will be interesting considering the increasing price of copper.

What is considered fair value for a takeover and how much more is the market going to keep bidding this up?

It's appearing increasingly likely that the market may not find any offer 'fair and reasonable' whilst significant electrification remains on the cards.

Now at £8+ so the market obviously thinks the bid isn't high enough !
Looking forward to a higher offer

The buyer of your shares thinks it won't (at 780p).

Sold my final bit yesterday - think the current bid will go through.

GL to anyone still holding - hope you get a bigger bid.

I sold my SIPP shares today. Still have some more in an ISA. But it made sense to me to sell around half.

or hedge your bets by selling half. I'd like to see why Barclays think it's worth 900p. If people rely on that opinion, which was issued after the offer was made, and the takeover goes through, I can see some complaints being made unless Barclays hedged and explained very carefully why they were putting a higher target price on the stock.

So get out at now selling to someone who'll offer you 800+, problem solved.

But if enough people sell (not sure why), they will subsequently have enough shares to force everyone else to sell at 780p... so maybe, just maybe time to get out??

Been a bit busy... but had my broker contacted me with kaz takeover priced at 780p/ share.... doesnt make sense as current price above 800p?

Baimskaya may better appeal to the city now there's a commodities super-cycle predicted.

Hopefully the share price will move towards 850p such that any certificated holders will find it more financially attractive, after costs, to sell elsewhere (should they desire to sell) rather than accept the offer.

Others may as well just hold and do nothing.

Which, go for the Baimskaya project or post the offer document?

Perhaps it was something they decided to do after a few beers on Friday afternoon.

If they've posted the offer document they're probably hoping to get it through without going to 900p. I wonder if Barclays published an explanation - it would be fun to read because it's a binary punt now.

I think the City still considers the Baimskaya copper project in Russia is not sensible, therefore 1000p seems out of reach to me.

But I could be wrong.

Agreed. Pity they didn't take on Baimskaya as a private enterprise and leave Kaz as it was.
