It's reached 800 and slightly over. Not so speculative then.

The share price was circa 1000 mid-2018 before they announced the Baimskaya copper project in Russia. Copper has risen 20%+ since then and outlook positive. If the Baimskaya project is sensible why is a share price of 1000 still not reasonable?

Current move to 795 is probably speculative punts, if it goes thru 800 and onwards I would suspect the market is looking for more.

There is a limit to what these guys can pay (purchase will be debt funded and KAZ itself is loaded with debt), where that is I have no idea.

Given its location, debt and exploration plans I find it very difficult to even start to work out what a fair value is here. That it was not 640p was obvious, now .....

I stand to be corrected, but as far as I'm aware they cannot - that would not be treating all shareholders equally.

"Further, if an offeror acquires for cash any interest in shares during the offer period, a cash alternative must be made available at that price at least.
If the offeror acquires an interest in shares in an offeree company (i.e. a target) at a price higher than the value of the offer, the offer must be increased accordingly."



This, to me, is the city saying they are not going to accept the bid - why would an institution accept 640p when they could sell in the market at over 770p (the volumes have been high enough) that's crazy.

Is anyone left here? If the price keeps going up can those wanting the takeover be hoovering up the shares albeit at higher prices? Then when they have enough the price falls to takeover offer?

If you sell, you can be sure the buyer will not willingly settle for 640, so you're not really letting the others down. The only reason this wouldn't be true is if your buyer was the bidder, but I don't think he's allowed to do that.

Is there a version of the prisoners dilemma here? If we all hold we get a better offer. If some of us sell they get todays price but if the rebellion fails the rump will only get 640 on offer. LL
