30/1/2018 01:17 | Not forgetting that 1. Cu prices would have to rise 50% to reach previous highs, & 2. E-cars are all the buzz now, which are very Cu-hungry, as well as 3. The infrastructure that goes with E-vehicles. 4. That means loads of free cash flow to reduce debt even further. I hold. | bone apart

25/1/2018 16:30 | Until the GBPvsUSD comes off a bit this will likely stay weak imo. A stronger pound means that Copper is actually lower due to CU being priced in dollars. My average here is 817p and I hold 10k so squeaky bum time. | fruitninja84
25/1/2018 16:24 | Copper production up 80%, translate that (copper plus gold, zinc) into total turn over at $1.8 billion which is almost 250% up from the previous year. Think further on the profit the effect could be tremendous with high margins (lowest copper producer in the world). Look forward to final results in a month time. Onwards and upwards. | patience a virtue
25/1/2018 15:09 | Fourth-quarter copper output actually declined over the final three months of the year versus the prior quarter, raising concerns over the outlook. Copper output in the most recent quarter slid to 65 kt versus 75 kt in the prior period, which Kaz said reflected grade reduction at Aktogay and Bozshakol concentrator maintenance. Kaz, which is focused on open pit mining in Kazakhstan, also said fourth-quarter zinc in concentrate output was 12 kt, with full-year production of 58 kt, below guidance of 60-70 kt due to delayed access to high grade ore. 25/1/2018 15:07 | Kaz Minerals Reports Significant Growth In Copper And Gold Production LONDON (Alliance News) - Kaz Minerals PLC said Thursday that it met its copper production targets across all assets in 2017, and gold production was at the upper end of the company's guidance range. The Kazakhstan-focused miner said that full year copper production increased by 80% to 259,000 tonnes, from 144,000 tonnes the year before. For the fourth quarter ended December 31, copper production, however, fell by 13.3% to 65,000 tonnes due to expected grade reduction at Aktogay and Bozshakol concentrator maintenance. Annual gold production increased by 39.9% to 178,700 ounces, from 127,700 ounces in 2016. Silver production rose 6.8% to 3.5 million ounces, in line with expectations. Zinc output for the year totaled 57,600 tonnes - below 60,000 tonnes to 65,000 tonnes guidance - due to delayed access to higher grade zones in the east region of Kazakhstan, the company said. "I am pleased that in 2017 we achieved copper production targets across all of our assets including at Aktogay, where we launched sulphide production in February 2017 and declared the concentrator commercial in October. The performance of our two recently commissioned mines at Bozshakol and Aktogay has delivered an 80% increase in annual copper output into a tightening market and gold production at the top of our guidance range," KAZ Chief Executive Andrew Southam said. Kaz shares were down 3.2% at 861.40 pence per share on Thursday. By Toby Woodall; tobywoodall@alliance [...] | smurfy2001
25/1/2018 15:07 | KAZ Minerals Q4 copper production up 45% year on year at 65,200 mt Kazakh base and precious metals producer KAZ Minerals said Thursday its copper in concentrates and copper cathodes production in the fourth quarter was up 455 year on year at at 65,200 mt. That was 13.4% lower quarter on quarter as a result of 13-day mill maintenance works at Bozshakol in Kazakhstan's Pavlodar region and an expected lower copper ore grade processed at Aktogay in the East region. hxxps://www.platts.c | smurfy2001
