They wont release assays until the farm-in is concluded, regardless of how soon they receive verified results back from the SA lab.

I have been investing in resource stocks for over 15 years and this to me seems very positive news. These are very experienced directors who have been around the block a few times. If they are in talks with a major then the major will want this data checked and verified, this IS standard industry practice.
If the Assays has come back with nothing they would not be spending further money having them tested. What would be the point.
I don't see this taking too long as the RNS says that the "Kavango is now completing its own check assays at an independent laboratory in South Africa" which to me indicates that the lab already has the samples.
This is getting really interesting now.

Somebody doesn't want the results out just yet - and the other day we had the new licence acquisition - join the dots guys.

And that will take a while but worth the wait

Currently Kavango's preferred option would be to farm-out this project to an industry partner, mainly due to its' size,

ARC are also verifying assay results already received. KAV sounds like it will be strung out longer than we hope but will be worth the wait

Thought the train had arrived when I saw the RNS headline but its stopped at another station. I hope it's not too long before it reaches its final destination.

Cautious RNS.

Independent checks on assay results from OZ. To make a farm out presentation to a major all I's and T's need to be doted.

I do like KAV management style. Conservative and old school.

Getting a major to farm in would only be an option if there's a massive find. They need an independent analysis of the results to make sure what they are selling to the major is verified.

I suspect they already have the major lined up and that they requested the check before signing up

Exactly. We have the results but we are getting them double checked. Why? I haven't seen this mentioned in any previous RNS, unless I've missed it.

We have the results but they are a secret, not seen this before, although it is how Rio operate ....

Sounds like a big project.

“Currently Kavango's preferred option would be to farm-out this project to an industry partner, mainly due to its' size, plus the fact that our main focus remains the Kalahari Suture Zone ("KSZ") structure in southwest Botswana where drilling is expected to commence later this quarter".”

What are they telling us?

"KAV could have a very interesting dynamic if this wish list comes off reasonably well:

Assay results following dramatic xrf readings.

Potential major farm into Ditau.

Farm into Ditau.

Drilling into main KSZ high profile targets this quarter.

Tightly held stock."

It reminds me of what Rio Tinto did recently at Winu where they drilled and then claimed up a massive land grab before letting on what they had which was a decent size deposit of ok grade copper with some gold credit, I suspect Rio will be the partner of choice here as they have already done a jv with them on land further north which came to nothing....

Why its under the radar?

Its because the management here are oldschool and have kept it that way - play your cards close to your chest and lockup all the useful acres before announcing. They are generally a well run a company without the endless need for interviews, podcasts and presentation nights at industry events to get their message out there. I like that.

Results will out and value will be realised - the numbers will underline what the company has. However, it has been like ghost town here from time to time. Admittedly, they could do with better PR.

There is no way a company with the readings they have achieved thus far, over a structure as big as they have at Ditau, should be valued so lowly.

Still way under the radar, but shares are held very tightly so any kind of buying on the assays will send the share price shooting up

I really cant understand why this has not gone up strongly after the new licence bei8ng obtained. It more or less guarantees that the assay results will be VERY good or else why rush to get the licence before announcing the results?
