Exactly. We have the results but we are getting them double checked. Why? I haven't seen this mentioned in any previous RNS, unless I've missed it.

We have the results but they are a secret, not seen this before, although it is how Rio operate ....

Sounds like a big project.

“Currently Kavango's preferred option would be to farm-out this project to an industry partner, mainly due to its' size, plus the fact that our main focus remains the Kalahari Suture Zone ("KSZ") structure in southwest Botswana where drilling is expected to commence later this quarter".”

Hmmm...interesting RNS.
Not quite sure what to make of it.
What are they telling us?

"KAV could have a very interesting dynamic if this wish list comes off reasonably well:

Assay results following dramatic xrf readings.

Potential major farm into Ditau.

Farm into Ditau.

Drilling into main KSZ high profile targets this quarter.

Tightly held stock."

It reminds me of what Rio Tinto did recently at Winu where they drilled and then claimed up a massive land grab before letting on what they had which was a decent size deposit of ok grade copper with some gold credit, I suspect Rio will be the partner of choice here as they have already done a jv with them on land further north which came to nothing....

Why its under the radar?

Its because the management here are oldschool and have kept it that way - play your cards close to your chest and lockup all the useful acres before announcing. They are generally a well run a company without the endless need for interviews, podcasts and presentation nights at industry events to get their message out there. I like that.

Results will out and value will be realised - the numbers will underline what the company has. However, it has been like ghost town here from time to time. Admittedly, they could do with better PR.

There is no way a company with the readings they have achieved thus far, over a structure as big as they have at Ditau, should be valued so lowly.

Still way under the radar, but shares are held very tightly so any kind of buying on the assays will send the share price shooting up

I really cant understand why this has not gone up strongly after the new licence bei8ng obtained. It more or less guarantees that the assay results will be VERY good or else why rush to get the licence before announcing the results?

Interesting article about the discovery at Olympic Dam.

That's the interview that made me belive Kav would do more drilling to get a resource estimate. It appears they don't need to, they must have good data already to go to a bigger company.

Substantial discovery.

re: Third parties. Looks like they have been talking to others for a while now.

Skiboy10 - 23 Apr 2019 - 18:43:11 - 293 of 711

This was from back in May 2018 pre-IPO. What are the odds they are talking seriously with bigger companies since the excellent preliminary drilling news last month?

"So you are pretty excited about the potential of this project Mike?"

"Oh absolutely yes. I think it is very exciting. Look it's not without its risk. There is obviously a chance that there is absolutely nothing there at all but it has all the right addresses. The similarity between the Norilsk type model and what we discovered to date would suggest to us there is a very good chance of discovering massive sulphide deposits. I think the other thing that's also good it that this is a huge huge body. It's a huge system and generally in geology the bigger the system the bigger the deposit is likely to be so we are very upbeat about it."

"Have you seen much interest externally in Kavango Resources?"

"There are a number of people who are watching us very closely. Some of the big companies have been very interested in what we are doing. We are not interested at this stage in doing a deal with a big company because we would not get value for it at this point in time. We need to identify a big deposit first and then I think we would be very keen to talk to some of the bigger companies. At the moment we are talking, we have been talking to some of the big companies who have shown some interest in us but we would prefer at this stage to keep going alone until we make a substantial discovery"

I think we are close to getting true value creating news here, the assay results will be one thing but the big kicker will be who wants to be involved at Ditau and how much they are willing to commit. I think this may be closer than some think !

Important thing is, now the license with the possible Ditau extension is in the bag, there is no other reason to hold back assay results. As Mike Moles said in the interview, announcement will be out 'very soon'.

Its crazy how under the radar this is. Anyway, its an opportunity to top up.

A couple of times now Mike Moles has referenced Olympic Dam when talking about Ditau. It makes sense for them to farm it out as given the huge size (5km x 7km) it would need a serious drilling campaign of 50 to 100 holes to get a good understanding of it and clearly that’s best left to a mid tier or even major.

Important to note also that they have hit mineralization in the first two holes which is pretty unusual. I think catsick mentioned before that at Olympic Dam that missed on a few of the first holes.

Also my understanding is that the real serious mineralization was only found towards the end of that first campaign. Perseverance can really pay off!

Yes, nice video update.

Some quotes:

MM: "Some of the results have come in ... we are analysing those at the moment ... we are carrying out some checks on those ... there will be an announcement very soon on the final results we just want to make sure we have everything buttoned down before we make an announcement"

MM: "Ditau ... need to drill a lot of holes to give justice ... that takes away resource form our main project ... idea now is to look for an industry partner ... main thrust KSZ ... start drilling in the 3rd Quarter"

Q: "[Going back to Ditau] would you be confident on a decent level of interest from potential partners?"

MM: "Of course, yes, absolutely ... its important we make headway of Ditau without diverting us away from out main project"

Yes just watched the proactive interview and it does seem that they have a bunch of results and rather than releasing them right away they have made sure to claim up the area they deem to be worth holding which I would take to be bullish and make the prospect of a decent farm out much better, I also see it as being referred to now as a base metal project so copper cobalt nickel ree rather than the gold and pge
