Well, he's right that Cobre was a 25 bagger, going from less that 0.03 in July to 0.73 in August this year on the back of encouraging drill results in Kalahari Copper Belt. So there's hope for KAV yet.

paul johnson @pauljohnson9691

Have to say am surprised with limited reaction so far to @KavangoRes news today. With
@CobreLimited rising 25x on findings from their drill in the Kalahari Copper Belt - and #KAV moving towards drilling the KCB - it’s an exciting time. Just my personal view.

Another progress update, the potential is still there. I guess once the drill starts turning the share price might start to pick up

Interesting news. Would have thought it was a positive - clearly not based on the lack of buyers.

What is the next step?

Are they still drilling?

Is this company and share price on a long decline?

RE: RNSToday 08:06

These are really B-I-G targets, with the Central Zone showing very high in-soil traces. As with the other D'kar/Ngwako Pan contacts, the mineralisation concentration appears highest in the limbs of anticlines. The Banana Zone is an eroded anticline, so the crest is missing. Our analogue still has a crest, and sometimes additional mineralised zones are found there also. It should be appreciated that PRD's licences cover the geological extensions of proven mineralised formations.

The previously detailed targets, Morula & Happy, are also very attractive, and I suspect that PRD has been waiting for these results from the LVR tenements before deciding which to drill first, and this has been the primary reason for the awesome foursome meeting in the desert. A great problem to have, choosing between such attractive targets. Those here who have felt justifiably depressed at the apparent lack of progress, now have significant programmes to look forward to over the coming months. As always in exploration, patience is key. I have a lot of comfort that this will be a very different company this time next year.

Kavango Resources identifies two drill targets at KCB licence PL082/2018
02:33 Fri 26 Aug 2022

“The presence of anomalous values to 118ppm copper is significant in terms of this project's prospectivity," said CEO Ben Turney

Kavango Resources PLC (LSE:KAV, OTC:KVGOF) said it identified two major drill targets at its Kalahari Copper Belt (KCB) licence PL082/2018.

A large-scale, high-resolution soil sampling program identified two targets - Northern Zone and Central Zone - with peak value of 118.8 parts per million (ppm) copper anomalies, the Botswana-focused metals exploration company said in a statement.

Both targets also have widespread elevated zinc values, it said.

The geochemical anomalies conform with the underlying geology previously mapped by Kavango and there is a strong indication of in-situ mineralisation, the company noted.

It said licence PL082/2018 is a potential analogue to Khoemacau's Banana Zone deposit, immediately to the south of Ghanzi Ridge, which has a total high-grade resource of 55.8 million tonnes (Mt) at 1% copper (Cu) and 16.4 grammes per tonne (g/t) silver (Ag).

"Leading on from the work completed on PL036/2020, as reported on 3 August 2022, our team has worked rapidly to complete a further substantial soil sampling program on licence PL082/2018, under the Kavango earn-in agreement with LVR Geoexplorers,” said Kavango CEO Ben Turney.

“The presence of anomalous values to 118ppm copper is significant in terms of this project's prospectivity. These results, combined with the mapped geology and the existing Kavango AEM data, has enabled us to identify two targets of considerable strike length (8km and 27km) to test with drilling. Our targets have notable similarities with other recently drilled targets in this area.”

The company will carry out a review of existing data, limited infill soil sampling and static seismic surveys, which will be followed by a reverse circulation (RC) drill program on the two targets.

Kavango said a targeting program remains ongoing on the Mamuno licence with results expected shortly.

Kavango Resources seeks partners for Botswana project

A corporate transaction could involve a joint venture, an earn-in, direct investment or other similar mechanisms

Kavango Resources PLC (LSE:KAV, OTC:KVGOF) hired a financial adviser to lead its search for potential partners for its large-scale Kalahari Suture Zone (KSZ) project in Botswana.

Tamesis Partners LLP has been appointed to identify potential partners and provide advice on any potential corporate transactions.

Kavango has also set up a data room so it can share information about the project with interested parties on a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) basis.

Last week, Kavango announced a comprehensive review of all available exploration data at KSZ had demonstrated the project’s potential for nickel-copper-platinum group elements (PGE).

"Following publication of the technical review of the Kalahari Suture Zone, Kavango is now ready to engage formally with potential partners for future development of this large-scale exploration project,” said chief executive Ben Turney.

“We are particularly excited to be working with Tamesis Partners LLP, given their strong track record of transactions in the mining sector.”

A corporate transaction could involve a joint venture, an earn-in, direct investment or other similar mechanism, the company said.

Kavango said it has a number of NDAs in place with interested parties and intends to advance discussions with additional parties now the data room is set up.

NDA's and JV hunt announced so are Kav going to drill KSZ at all or just concentrate on KCB and let a partner put up the cash with share dilution on KSZ. Anyone got thoughts on this?
