Karelian Diamond Resources plc (“KarelianR21;) (AIM: KDR), announces that it was informed today that Kevin Taylor is now interested in 935,125 ordinary shares of €0.00025 in the capital of the Company, equal to 4.00 per cent. of Company’s issued ordinary share capital.

1) ' Lahtojoki Mining Development Programme
A Preliminary Economic Assessment (“PEA”) has been carried out during the period on the Lahtojoki diamond deposit
in the Kuopio-Kaavi region of Finland over which your Company holds a Mining Concession.
I am delighted that the PEA was positive and a mining operation recommended (as announced on 1 August 2017)........

your Company has applied for a Claim Reservation in the area adjacent to the Lahtojoki mining
concession. The Claim Reservation covers the up-ice area of the kimberlite boulder discovery (as previously announced on 9 November 2016 and 12 January 2017) and totals an area of 8.67km². Post period a Claim covering 28.84 hectareswas granted within the Claim Reservation on 22 January 2018. The Claim surrounds the location where the kimberliteboulder discovery was made.'

2)Going concern
The Company incurred a loss of €211,590 (30 November 2016: €117,067) for the six month period ended 30 November 2017. The Company had net current liabilities of €168,143 (30 November 2016: €334,506) at that date.

The Board of Directors have considered carefully the financial position of the Company and in that context, have prepared and reviewed cash flow forecasts for the period to 30 November 2018. As set out in the Chairman’s statement, the Company expects to incur material levels of capital expenditure in 2018, consistent with itsstrategy as an exploration company. In reviewing the proposed work programme for exploration and evaluation assets and on the basis of the equity raised during the year to 31 May 2017, the results obtained from the exploration programme and the prospects for raising additional funds as required, the Board of Directors are satisfied that it is appropriate to prepare the condensed financial statements on a going concern basis.

Hope you are well unfortunately its not baffling as to why we are at record lows as there is never any news to drive the share price up infact there is never any news on anything that only leads to the share price being driven down which is why we are where we are .
Unforunately too many investors here prepared to go along with that so hey ho so be it definately got a lot more chance from match betting the bookies free bets on the world cup to make a few bob than wait for this turkey to come up with any news and that is an absolute fact.

RB if they have paid the licence fee then there should be an rns on the fact it's been extended not lapsed. Where they got the money from assumes they didn't have any. Agree though if they raised more they would have had to announce it.1st June is deadline day. Yet I suspect they may to wrangle more time or avoid making an announcement. In fact if they have paid from existing funds it's arguable they don't need to announce it as they have done what's previously been announcedWhether they have to, ought to I don't know but just don't think we will get anything.

Licence fee is 100k euros and technically 24 months was up in April, so this option has either expired, been paid or option period extended or renegotiated without any update to us long suffering share holders. Or maybe they just forgot about it?

Looks like there isnt going to be an rns regarding the £100k licence fee.However the company is imo breaking the rules as it should be making an announcement to inform the market where its got the money from to pay for it !!
