By comparison, tiny TRD has just seen it’s finance Director buy stock, (0.17%), that equals around 0.5% of the free float.

According to ADVFN share trades at the moment today their are far more Buys than Sells and a lot of the sells appear to be automatic trades!! I suspect we maybe in for a bounce in the share price later today……….certainly hope so as I think the half year report was actually pretty damn good!!! As always, time will tell.

Or TRD on a PE of 12 .!

That’s before you realise that over 25% of the market cap is cash.

So real PE is a tad under 10.

Plus it’s paying a divi.

The trick with Kainos was to buy before investors realised its growth potential, those that did, have been rewarded many times over.

I wish I had.

Well done.

cannacord says hold- make of it what you will!

Analysts at Canaccord Genuity raised their target price on software firm Kainos from 1,765.0p to 1,880.0p on Monday, pointing to continued growth momentum and normalising margins.

Canaccord said Kainos, which raised full-year revenue expectations in September, had shown that its "impressive run" of sector-leading double-digit growth had continued in its interim results, with organic sales up 32% year-on-year

Furthermore, the Canadian bank highlighted that backlog growth had accelerated to 38%, of which digital services was up 29% year-on-year, while workday services grew 39% and smart services shot up 67%

"This provides very good visibility on our raised 2H22 estimates, which now imply potentially conservative +21% yoy growth and 26% for the full year," said Canaccord, which reiterated its 'hold' rating on the stock.

Reckon there will be a bit of a bounce up towards close of play today, perhaps close at about £19.25per share but time will tell; I think their has been a fairly major overreaction to today’s news which was actually, in my view, pretty good news for a very very rapidly growing company.

Yeah it's not a prediction - just that data shows applying valuation arguments to growth shares will scare you out of the biggest winners. Many years a well known Twitter investor talked me out of a share on similar grounds and it went up 10 fold - and he argued it was overvalued all the way up.I will exit if share price trend breaks down but other than that I leave alone and add on strength if it shows any

Using PEs as a guide for shares with growing earnings is a rookies game. If you go and back test you can show that many of the big winners had PEs beyond what many were comfortable with. It's been known for many years this is the case so I don't look at PEs. Don't need to believe me - well go read the works of ONeil, Weinstein, Minervini
