Why would Odey still be short when broker TPs are £2.20 almost 75% above current SP, they had their "ride" on the sale of part of the p/e stake keeping share price low...?

According to Euroclear's monthly stock loan data report - the total short position reduced from 3.55% at end of April to 3.16% in May - which resulted in a share-price rise from circa 120p to 140p during which the total short position reduced by 3.63m shares. The total current short position is 29.4m shares, of which Odey hold 13.9m.

Odey have the only disclosable short position at 1.49%, reduced from 1.55% in April. Clearly, those closing with short positions below the 0.5% disclosure threshold, forced Odey to trim their position that previously had been on an upward trend.

Odey are currently swimming against the tide, so it will be interesting to see what their next move will be, particularly if the smaller shorts continue to close out.

Baillie Gifford & Co have upped stake. They must see value here.

FT - "The 7 analysts offering 12 month price targets for Just Group PLC have a median target of 168.00, with a high estimate of 220.00 and a low estimate of 135.00. The median estimate represents a 22.63% increase from the last price of 137.00."

Hoping for a gradual progression upwards.

Their would appear to be many clued up people writing on the subject of past history and advice or complaint on what has gone ,what is now and what should happen.However it would seam that none of the aformentioned have any official say into progress or otherwise.I am sure their are many shareholders like me who bought shares in the original Just co,for whatever reason and who are not necessarily clued up as it were to the present state of events.
It would I am sure be helpful to us if some one officially could in simple language bring us up to speed as to the real position.I am sure some smart individual may wish to use expletives coupled with "its all gone son"but that is really not the point of the request.

You of all people have always known the IP rights are owned by two separate companies. You will be able to structure your bid to acquire those or their assets or some of them alone. What you want to bid for is your own business.
