21/3/2014 22:33 | Just read the results from start to finish, phew! | djderry
07/3/2014 17:14 | I'm not expecting a dividend announcement with the finals - last year it was announced at the half year stage. May be different this year, of course, if more cases have been settled, but I'll see that as a bonus. | m1das_touch
07/3/2014 16:36 | been buying these shares during the last few weeks just topping up on what i've already got ,good set of results and possibly a extra special dividend , | casino444
07/3/2014 13:31 | Worth noting this from the outlook statement at the interim stage back in August: "The Manager believes several investments are likely to be completed over the next twelve months with several additional investments generating partial settlements. Based on the outlook provided by the Manager, the Board expects significant returns from the Company's investment portfolio during the remainder of 2013, through 2014 and beyond. This belief is based on the Manager's review of presently scheduled trial dates, expected final decisions following trial, and possible settlements in multiple cases that are in an advanced stage of development." A further 4p in dividends was announced after the half-yearly report, but above statement would suggest that there should be much more to come this year. | m1das_touch
07/3/2014 13:13 | Final results were on 15/3 last year + 19/4 in 2012 so any time in the next month i suppose. Can't find anything on their website - | speedsgh
07/3/2014 12:45 | Looks like buyers are finally being drawn in at these levels. Personally I think the sell-off has been overdone and this seems like a great entry point ahead of results and the next (hopefully huge!) dividend announcement. | m1das_touch
05/3/2014 12:29 | Added another chunk at 112.80p (showing as a sell). Support around this level from bottom of uptrend channel in place since Q2 2012. | speedsgh
05/3/2014 11:42 | Thanks midas wasn't aware they had paid at least something most years that bodes well for some sort of dividend this year | tokyo sexwhale
05/3/2014 09:53 | They were on offer at around 115.40p earlier, so don't be fooled by all the trades today showing as sells. Mine is included there at 115.40p, so I know it's a buy :) I fully expect institutional holders to be picking up at these levels. Around 75% of the shares are tightly held by fund managers & other institutions:- INVESCO Asset Management Limited 33,099,822 29.90% Baillie Gifford & Co. 17,620,982 15.92% AXA Investment Managers UK Ltd. 9,956,500 8.99% Jupiter Asset Management Ltd. 8,000,000 7.23% Miton Group Plc 6,570,347 5.94% Reliance Mutual Ins Society Ltd. 4,504,397 4.07% Goldman Sachs as Market Maker 2,600,000 2.35% Hargreaves Lansdown Asset Mgmt 2,599,153 2.35% Henderson Global Investors Ltd 2,399,463 2.17% CPP Investment Board 1,900,000 1.72% | m1das_touch
05/3/2014 09:44 | Tokyo, Juridica isn't a regular dividend payer in the sense that a blue-chip is, but they tend to pay a significant dividend after several legal cases have been won and payouts received. There's always some uncertainty as to the precise timing and level, but their record (below) is pretty good and it looks as if they're moving towards paying more regular income with an annual dividend (including a 'special' element) in January each year. 4.60p 24-Apr-09 7.00p 10-Feb-12 13.00p 04-Jan-13 14.00p 15-Jan-14 | m1das_touch
05/3/2014 09:39 | Someone's after some stock | casino444
05/3/2014 09:39 | , I,m not selling I,m buying more, basically it's boom then bust then boom , maybe they could spread or split the dividend | casino444
05/3/2014 09:21 | People talking about the dividend like this is BP that has agreed to pay a quarterly dividend haven't they only paid one large special dividend rather than a commitment to regular return of cash ? | tokyo sexwhale
05/3/2014 08:59 | Decided it was time to top up today - Juridica is pretty predictable in terms of price action. Price surges in the run up to the juicy dividend ex-date, then drifts back surely but slowly until the next results date / dividend announcement. I like the fact that this company has virtual zero correlation to the wider market, which makes it a nice diversifier for my SIPP. | m1das_touch
03/3/2014 20:22 | Quite a few sales today.Price held up quite well condsidering. | jeanesy2
28/2/2014 04:58 | looks like its going to drift down until results , so if you want cheaper juridica stock you've got it | casino444
27/2/2014 16:29 | Mmmmmmmmm. This doesn't look like one of my better buys. | 1fox1
24/2/2014 06:22 | April 2012, March 2013 ... they spring them on you, no prior warning of date. | jonwig
24/2/2014 00:02 | good price been topping up over the last week or two , are juridica results in march or april ?? | casino444
21/2/2014 10:33 | from the article; "We look at 40 cases for every one we invest in," says Juridica chairman Richard Fields. "For the 30 in our first portfolio we looked at more than 1,200." Finding the right case is an almost impossibly difficult task. Funders are either after claimants with money to spend who will pay a return of 1:4 on their investment, or impecunious claimants with eye-watering claims, pretty much guaranteed to win. The recoverability of damages is also crucial as funders want to get out quickly and easily after winning. | davebowler
17/2/2014 16:55 | Thanks, that's quite interesting and some up-to-date information. But I have to say it's pretty poor that they talk of 'Timothy Scrantum' - he should be Timothy Scrantom. (And is the article correct? He needed cash to help his divorce and has since set up his own firm.) The case of S&T Oil Equipment has been discussed at length here, years ago - it seems to be interminable and Juridica should never have funded this tin-pot firm. The attempt to shut out fly-by-night firms from the market by assembling a trade body and imposing a £2m capital buffer is a start, but £2m is far too low. Anyway, a cautionary warning to anyone here who sees JIL as a low-risk investment! | jonwig
17/2/2014 15:51 | hxxp://www.thelawyer Cautionary good article on troubles in the sector incl. Juridica. | molybdenum
07/2/2014 16:31 | ยง Case 1208-A is set for trial in the second quarter of 2014. The trial is expected to focus on damages, as liability has already been established at the trial court level and upheld on appeal. Whilst damages claimed exceed US$1.0 billion it is not possible to estimate the Company's share which can only be determined once there is a court award or settlement reached. | pillion
07/2/2014 16:17 | djd - well enough, but do keep a bucket of cold water ready! | jonwig |
